Set it and forget it normally works for me. My mom always says "A watched pot never boils"....I think it applies in the case of a lot of intentions too. If you're trying to boil water and you stand over it looking and waiting it often seems to take a lonnnnnnng time but if you put it to boil and go do something else and return it doesn't seem as long. I think that you can think about your intentions a lot if you want, but for many people, myself included, certain things when you think about them too much or "watch them" too much it causes anxiety and impatience and messes with the intention so it's better or seems quicker to set it and forget it. It is all about how you FEEL in my opinion. Certain things feel GREAT to visualize and bring me happiness and comfort to imagine having them and no negative thoughts occur, so I think of those intentions more and it is natural. While other intentions sometimes I feel like I need it or want it to happen now and all these fearful thoughts come up and negativity so it ends up not feeling good to constantly think of it, so I don't. Sooo I think it is just the energy/vibration/feelings behind the intentions you hold and not necessarily the thinking process itself. |

If you actually SET the intention, I don't think anything else matters that much. When you set the intention in yourself, you cannot NOT do it/ achieve it/ w/e. There's that feeling and that click when you DECIDE to do something.

Setting a goal, thinking a lot about it and feeling as if it was already achieved and after I get familiar enough with it, forgetting it, works best for me. So I guess it's both- first think about it a lot, then forget/don't worry about it at all/don't "watch" it(as you said).

Set it and forget it. The problem that generally occurs when you think about your intention a lot is that you often end up thinking about how you don't have it yet, and that is exactly what you will get! You don't necessarily need to act either. It depends on the intention. Just recently I decided to set an intention strictly for fun. I used ALG's suggestion of repeating it over and over as I was falling asleep. The intention - a wonderful surprise. And not just any old mediocre ho-hum surprise, but a HUGE, exciting, knock-my-socks-off surprise! Not something I could act on because I don't know what it will be, so what could I do? Yesterday, the surprise was revealed to me, and it is a doozy. I don't want to talk about it yet because it's still manifesting, but omigod, the Universe definitely delivered. It will be my biggest and best manifestation to date! |

Last few days I've increased thoughts about a certain theme in my life, and increased thoughts about a certain subset of that theme. And poof, yesterday I saw that I manifested something associated with that theme. I'm being vague, yes. But my point is I put my attention on theme X and within two days of thinking about it (NOT obsessing, just reflecting throughout the day), I manifested an opportunity for action. The manifestation happened without any initial action in my case - aside from creating the thoughts, which someone like Anagogy would say counts as action. Personally I get results whether I "set" an intention or whether I just focus on something. But it's probably easier to track results if you set it. Setting it can be as simple as saying out loud, "I intend that ... " | |

for me it works best if i forget it-which is why i didnt manifested that much at the time cause i keep worrying about not having came yet the reason is simple:if you intend and then keep continuously thinking about it,you will probably worry about it and therephore you wont be having/showing to the Universe the Faith you have in yourself as a Creator/Manifestator. So,the best for me is intend and then forget and focus on another things that i also desire.and so on.... MISS Empress i loved your Mom´s quote.can i take it to my profile? it summers up what this Game is All about too. |

I would say, once you set an intention, then start asking. Ask yourself to suspend fear and unworthiness. Then: Ask for the date (ask people you are attracted to) Ask for the money (ask people who have money) Ask for the weight loss (ask Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers) Ask for the new customers (ask prospects) If one of them says "no", then ask another until you obtain the intention. In most cases you will get 90% "no", but the 10% "yes" will be more than you can handle. This is the only thing that seperates the haves from the have nots: The ability to ask 10 people without creating negative self judgement and quitting. I will 100% guarantee amazing results! |

I think it might be both. I remember reading about Cynthia Stafford, the woman who won $112 million in the California State Lottery and she said she obsessed about winning that amount for 4 months and then let it go once she was in the energy of it. If you only intend once, it might not be enough for you to feel like this thing you want is part of your reality. |

Could someone, please, explain what exactly "both" means? My experiences are: make a very clear visualization, and think about it intensively - sometimes is enough just 5 minutes, sometimes for months (depends on my perception of how "big" is the goal), and then let go - not necessarily forget, sometimes happens to me when I start thinking that it wouldn't, that it is too late Did I just answer my own question? |

then you wouldn't forget about your intention would you? From my experience, I set the intention/desire, kinda feel it thru imagination and/or prayer and then keep it in the back of my mind with a certain kind of expectancy. Kinda like filing away your recipes, but you still know about them and can roughly reconstruct the recipes without looking. I agree, obsessing gets you nowhere fast... unless you really are in a pinch right here right now. Anyway, that's the problem that I have with money now... hey, even my dreams told me just to state the amount I want but I keep sabotaging myself. ugh |

for me,the part of "forget thing" is about letting go of the "need of that desire",showing that you already intended and you´re letting the seed grow naturally. that shows that you´re Trusting the Universe already sended it to you and that is already visible in the Invisible Plane. its not really "forget like it doenst matter",its more about "forget it as let it go of the egoic need of it unfolding right away". for example in August i manifested a huge deal: i intented this months ago and then forgot totally about it: that both my two sisters to find the love of their lifes, their true love. suddently by no other thing than obvious synchronicities, both of them met the men of their lifes. and i was |
