Default How to find my life purpose?

Hi everyone,

I start this thread because i really need your viewpoint!

I'm completely changing my way of thinking lately and i love it. I think now that everything is possible in life, and believe in the law of attraction process. So, i study books and audio to be successful at it.

But my problem I realize that my goals aren't clear enough because i'm not able to visualize them without making efforts. And i can say that it isn't clear. So, the materials i study explain that to be able to have goals in mind every day and then attract them, these goals have to be align with our life purpose. If not, if we have difficulty to think about them and visualize them, they say that it means that maybe this is not a goal we REALLY want but something we think is possible to achieve.

I think this is really true because when i think about it, my goals aren't clear in my head and i know it means that this is not what will give me the will to get up every morning.

So, how to find what will give me the will and the excitement to get up the morning?

I thought about it all this day and when i think about my life, i don't have A passion. One day i will be over excited by something and maybe two months after, it will be something else...

What does it mean to your viewpoint?

Thanks
Virginie

Maybe your passion and purpose (right now, anyway) is something like Exploring or Expanding.

Yes, i love to learn, but do you think a purpose can change? Don't you think it's like a passion you keep during all your life.? For example, my boyfriend wants to direct movie and work in cinema and he wants it since he has 15. And now, he still want it.

Why do you think i don't have this ?

What i have is a hunger to learn and a goal to feel great in my body and mind.

Well, MY passions and purposes now are not what they were in my teens, 20s, etc.. MINE have changed over time.

I guess there are people who distinguish a purpose when they're eight years old and live that purpose till they're old and gray, but I'm not one of 'em!

Okay, but how can you focus on something big if you change your goals very often?

To me it's the throughput that counts. Find the focus that results in you feeling an energy flow. If a certain focus doesn't do it for you, don't push that focus. Recognize it just ain't sparking anything at this moment and move on. The easiest way for me to create an energy flow is to find the area that seems the most blocked. What is it, financial? relationship? entertainment? contributing to others? Find one that if you imagine it working really well off the charts, it feels sooooo good. Then imagine away. Just let energy flow in that category. We all know what energy flow feels like. It feels energizing. It feels fun.

Anything that contributes to this focus is valuable. Maybe write down what it would feel like if a certain area of your life were flowing well. Use make believe to pretend you are in a set of circumstances that really energizes you. Fiction here is very powerful. Forget about reality constraints, and then you can go all out. When you feel energy flowing, excitement, relief, joy, whatever, you are on the right track. Then your whole mind an work together for you to work with all of reality including your conscious mind to bring you to a place that energizes you the most.

It seems what energizes you right now is clarification on choosing itself. Once the fear of missing out on something is gone, then there is a lot less pressure on you to choose the correct choice. Why not try being clear about what it is you are afraid of missing out on? Imagine you are that person you dread, the one that never finds a passion and lives a dreary meaningless life the whole time, start to finish. Is there some fear you have that is similar to this? Can you write it and feel the urgency that lies underneath? If that underlying fear can be expressed in writing it will help you to see what you are afraid of, which is infinitely more valuable then finding a way to safely navigate away from it.

I would also add - lighten up and let life carry you. We worry about so much stuff that isn't really important. Feeling good is the main thing, and if you get this one cracked, the rest comes naturally.

I am now doing a job which I would never have chosen - I would never have thought of it as my 'life purpose.' In fact, I would probably have thought of it as being totally unsuited to my personality and preferences. But I love it and I can't think of anything else I'd rather do (right now, at least).

Life is full of little surprises - finding our 'purpose' can be another way of trying to be in control, another game the ego plays.

Today, i exactly understood what you mean, just giving me time to enjoy what is and not always thinking about what i'm gonna do is actually a great joy!

Thank you, i read them but didn't help me to find out....
But i begin to understand that maybve i'm too focus about what is my purpose and then miss the good things in my life and don't ask me the real good questions.

What would i want to do that gives me pleasure. And for the moment the answer isn't just one thing.. so i have to accept it i guesS..

Thank you, it's very inspirational, you're right, i'm too focus on searching what my purpose is instead of living it...

I'm curious, what job did you find as the good one?

Are you visually-oriented at all? If so, it may help you to make a vision board. Instructions are contained in the link.

Pay particular attention to Number 2 under "Three Types of Vision Boards." Number 2 is the "Opening and Allowing" variety. The entire point is to take lots of words and images that you feel delight or inspire you, whether or not you know why, and put them together in a collage. As you look at the vision board more and more, the meanings of the parts (and the whole) should come to you in time.

I've been trying this lately. Since I'm verbally-oriented, I cut several words out of a newspaper and came up with the following items:
"Geeks"
"Zing Zang Zoom"
"Then and now"
"rethink"
"GRAND OPENING EVENT"
"$57"
A necklace
A snake

You make the vision board, and then you look at it as often as possible, letting it seep into your subconscious mind, bring you inspiration, and show you the way.

Or, if the vision board idea does not appeal to you, then you might instead start keeping track of things that inspire you: songs, tv shows, poems, pieces of jewelry, things you see when out walking, etc. Basically, anything that inspires you, that sticks in your mind, that you find yourself revisiting repeatedly. You can then review your list over and over, letting the things that inspire you become part of your daily mental awareness. You could think of them as pieces of a puzzle, which your mind and the Universe are helping you to assemble.

Of course, you may find alternative methods that work for you, and that's also okay. Regardless, I wish you the best! :-)
