I've read various things on it, but I was wondering if someone could give me a sort-of how-to? Thank you. |

I haven't figured it out yet myself, but maybe that's the problem right there. I need to understand that *everything* outside of what darksage says is only what I choose, what would make the process fun for me, a crutch without the negative connotations of that word.

Thanks guys, interesting points. I wasn't asking for a fool-proof way to make it work or anything, just the process of setting an intention, with some tips.

From my time in this forum, I can assure you there's no one set way. Frustrating, isn't it? Once I'm over my bug, I'm going to finish reading "BLFT Business Game", my own preferred template for now. |

I think something and it comes to me.. I don't even "ask".. there's really nothing I want.. except help with my teeth (I get it) guidance.. (things are more stable now) and sex.. (without work/hassle or the "how" If there's a way to describe my life.. I just be.. try to be at ease.. etc. What would I recommend if you're a newbie? I would recommend - Stay positive no matter what - When doubting your powers.. ask for "neutral things" things you don't want.. there easiest - When having problems working on the things "you do want" I recommend finding your beliefs and definitions.. or clearing away "doubt" through healing.. (any process will do)

Stay positive. Imagine in your mind what you desire(playing out in the present, etc..), notice the feeling (vibration) this thing has and try to hold this vibration as long as possible. It should start to feel like the thing you desire already exists in your reality. E.g. When I intend for a girlfriend, afterwords I feel like I already have one and there is nothing more to attract. Try to hold this feeling in your vibration. Check out Steve's creating abundance videos on youtube, it pretty much applies to everything. Also you might like to read some of the books mentioned earlier. Last edited by Rainsong; 08-09-2010 at 11:03 AM. |

I think the analogy of ordering in a restaurant is apt. In addition to indicating what I want, I always specify that it comes to me in a safe, positive, loving way, and for the good of all. Then I always add a thank you at the end. Your attitude in between your request and your order appearing should be similar to that you have when you are waiting for your food in a restaurant. You don't worry about whether it's coming, because you've put your order in, and it's up to the restaurant staff to bring it to you. I've found my manifestations always happen faster when I've managed to forget about the orders I've put in. I just sort of get on with my life and try to enjoy myself, and then whenever I receive my intention, it's a really wonderful surprise. I always remember thinking after the fact, "Oh, yeah, I did ask for that, didn't I? Wow." |

1. When you are in a calm, relaxed mood, go to a quiet, peaceful place where you will not be disturbed. 2. Take out some paper and write out the following CONTINUOUSLY, without pausing, without stopping to think too much. (i) State your intention. (ii) List five reasons why you want this. (iii) List five reasons why this intention is possible / likely, for you. (iv) List five things you can do, to make this intention happen. "Things" and "do" here include means concrete action steps you can take, and also emotional/mental attitudes/adjustments you can hold / make. 3. End on a positive note, with a constructive, uplifting, encouraging or inspiring statement to yourself.

I shall write 10 excellent short stories and get them published as a book. I shall accomplish this by end 2012. I want to do this, because: (1) I enjoy creative writing very much; (2) I am a talented writer and I might as well put my talent to good use; (3) I like to challenge myself; (4) I like the idea of having lots of people read my works; (5) One day, when I am dead and gone, I'd like my kids to have something memorable to remember me by. Books written by dad sound like a good idea. This intention is going to happen, because: (1) I know I have the ability. I have already published one book. (2) My publisher likes me and is supportive of my writing. (3) I am talented. And I have a national literary award to prove it. (4) I am phenomenal at time management. I know how to manage my time and get this done, on top of everything else that I am doing. (5) I really want this to happen. Thank you to myself, for making this happen. I absolutely love and respect me. I respect my own talent and ability and insight, and to honour all of that, I shall get my book written and published. Thank you to everybody who will help to make that happen, including my wife and kids and HF, my publisher and all the people who loved my first book and told me that they loved it.

1. I will read (or reread) some short stories by other writers, paying attention to the way they construct their plots and characters. 2. I will set aside time early on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for creative writing (as a minimum). 3. I will use a folder to keep photos, newspaper articles, Internet articles and other random pieces, that may be used as creative fodder for a new short story. 4. Every week as I travel on the train, or work in the office, or eat lunch at a restaurant, or shop at the supermarket, I will pay attention to the people I meet, and try to imagine what kind of personal lives they have. 5. I will start writing short experimental pieces based on the creative writing exercises contained in a particular book I have. |

Godot: What about when it's a situation where your mind is totally blocked on what you can do to obtain the situation for yourself? I want to manifest a car (did it once before) but am kinda blocked this time. Not really sure what kind of concrete steps I can do to acquire the car. |

The last time I manifested a car, it was a free car. I was able to pay for its operating expenses, which I can do now. The car is a major source of resistance with *other* goals I want to intend... it's something I've really been using as an excuse to stay in my stuck place, I guess. I'd be making a lot of other things happen (muggle-style) if I could leave the suburbs at night. I'm in a real stuck place of not really being able to generate the possibilities, mentally, this time. All I can think of are a lot of muggle reasons I can't get a car. Last time, I didn't have that same stuck place. I not only manifested the car for myself, but a preferable car for my friend, which is how I ended up with the car. I had the car less than a few days after deciding I was going to intend a car to myself. By muggle logic, I shouldn't have obtained a car. I could probably obtain a car the same way now - *intend* a new one to my parents, for example (in which case I'd end up with one of their current ones... same route the car took to get to me, last time). That said: I realize I am stuck on the "how" and I need to just look at it from the point of view of the future in which I *already have* the car. I started generating resistance in this case after reading Godot's thing... and realizing I needed to come up with 5 muggle things I could do toward getting myself a car... ack! Need to shift back to 2012 ASAP and deal with this top-down... Last edited by pyrogen; 08-10-2010 at 02:26 AM.

Hey Acting Like Godot thanks man. I was slowly getting better at intention manifestation and your exercise helps with a lot of the problems I was having myself, it helps get rid of underlying doubt or tensions, I tried it on the spot with just 2 examples and I felt better already, I shall try as many as I can make sometime soon.
