Default Spiritual Manifestations

Hey everyone....

I am almost done with a book I'm writing (jumps up and down exitedly) and have only 1 final piece to put in.

I need an example of a spiritual affirmation/intention from a non-religious perspective.

My clients thus far have all come from very Christian, church-going people, and I just need a little variety in the examples of spiritual afffirmations/intentions/manifestations.

If you'd be willing to share it on the board (it will feel like sharing it with the world) GO FOR IT!

Thanks so much!

The following is an example of a sorta longer one from a very religious perspective.

I read the scriptures everyday at 5:00 a.m. before I prepare for work. To develop my spirituality, I spend time on my knees twice daily pouring out my soul in mighty prayer to God, asking for guidance, for direction and giving him thanks for the blessings He distills upon me and my family. My prayers are purposeful and meaningful. I am grateful and always have a prayer of gratitude in my heart. I receive inspiration in all my activities because I counsel with Him about the things I do and carefully listen to His direction and teachings.

I thoughtfully and diligently prepare for my Sunday lessons. I teach them by example and inspire my students to study the scriptures. This calling brings me great joy and satisfaction to my life. I love the opportunities I have to serve others. I prepare myself to accept the positions that will be offered to me for they will be important positions. Because of the schooling and learning I have acquired I am called into these positions of council where my influence will have much effect for good upon the people with whom I associate with.

Each week I partake of the sacrament worthily and reflect on the Atonement of Christ, ask forgiveness for my shortcomings, ponder my covenants and how I can better live up to the light within me. I have the ability to withstand the temptations that I am faced with and turn away from them. My thoughts are pure, kind and filled with charity. I radiate love, virtue, goodness, and nobility.

Here's my quick thought. Take your intention above, and remove references to Christian practice and concepts. For example, go from "Him" to "the Universe." Instead of Sunday lessons, go for leading by example, or role modeling, or expression communion with Nature. Instead of sacraments, honor the Divine Within. Keep the last two sentences just as they are.
