Understanding Gratitude In a New Way

Having worked through the Busting Loose book, and now finished Mike Dooley's Infinite Possibilities things are really starting to click in new ways for me and it feels so good!

I had always before understood that in bringing things to manifestation you had to "express gratitude". To me this brought up a lot of old Catholic issues of guilt, and trying to pray "the right way". I could only feel gratitude for things that had already come to pass and felt kind of like a phony trying to express gratitude for things that I was trying to bring into my reality.

Now with a much more functional view of my reality as ALL my creation, I get that I can express gratitude that I have created things to be exactly perfect. I can't describe it very well but I am feeling such a new lightness around everything, a very fun and jocular kind of attitude. I know that everything presents itself exactly as I've asked it to. I feel genuine gratitude that I have this new understanding, and that I've been so clever thus far with my creations and with things to come.

This lightness is such a welcome relief from the heavy, dark feelings I've been working through the past few months. I am GRATEFUL to be feeling lighter!

Actually, within the Christian framework, gratitude is just faith evolved one step further.

Faith means that you are very certain that your prayer will be answered.

Gratitude (before the prayer is answered) is faith so strong that you're already thanking God for answering the prayer.

But the breakthrough for me has been realizing that there is no prayer at all...and no need for "faith". I am the creator, what I focus on shall be, so gratitude becomes more about taking delight in my own creations and shifting away from recognizing any kind of outside source.
