You are consciousness or awareness or light or God or whatever you want to call "it". "It" is who/what you really are. "It" is not physical, so "it" cannot be pointed to. "It" is like an endless invisible sea of light or awareness or consciousness or whatever. There are many metaphors to describe "it", don't get lost in them because they are simply metaphors to describe in a physical language something that has no physical form, something that is, and is beyond all physical form. You will never be able to point to it and understand it with a human mind, because the human mind is a product of the physical world. Surrending is when you realize that it's just You, it's who You are, it's how YOU feel, it's you. It's like trying to see your pupils without a mirror, not gonna happen. Surrending is realizing that there truly isn't anything to look for, there's nothing to point to, there's nothing to do to become "it", because you already are it, and to continue looking for "it" would be like a dog chasing his tail, endlessly, never catching it, running in circles, thinking "i'm so close, i'm so close". You're closer than you think you are! Many people try to describe it, but it cannot be accurately described. Don't get lost in metaphors, don't take metaphors literally. Somebody elses metaphor may only make sense to them and nobody else, but many people will take it seriously, take the metaphors literally and get so lost in them. Wars are faught over other peoples metaphors. silllly. When you are identified with the body, people will say look within, because from the perceptual standpoint, it appears if "consciousness" is inside of you. This isn't because consciousness is actually located in one specific area inside of your body that you can point too. No, it's because you've been identified with the body, you believe you are your body and there is a big giant world "out there" that you are trying to survive in. Consciousnesss/awareness/whatever you want to call it, is you, so a tension is created, a resistence, a perceptual barrier is created, when you hold this belief about your identification with the body and the world being "out there", so that the world does seem out there. So you as consciousness are found "in there", in the body, wrapped in tension built barriers of perception. Walls of illusionary separation that form to your perception of being your body and the world being out there, so it appears that "you" are in there. So people say look within to find the truth. The truth is to find the truth, you just have to BE. That's all. You are the truth. Just be you. People identified with their body who are looking for truth, may be the same who believe that something "out there" is going to save them. Some savior from heaven will come and save them. Some prophecized date will save them. Always looking "out there" to be saved. For truth. When it's not out there or "in here", because out there and in here don't really exist. It's just you and you are all of it. Okay so maybe "you" have looked inward and found a bit of truth. You've realized yourself as consciousness, or you are stuck in the trappings of the illusionary mind which is begging for you to hold on to it. Maybe you feel very introverted and disconnected with other people, always in your head, or thinking too much. You believe the truth is "inside" of you so that's where your focus and attention stays, inside of you. The world outside of you begins to look like a pixelated dream, and there are hints that your intentions can manifest into this dream, you get glimpses and brief examples of it, but nothing life changing or drastic, nothing that makes you totally accept this idea of intention manifestation. You continuously try to manifest, and the little glimpses fuel your fire, but you get frustrated easilly and seem to never truly find anything substantial, you are always looking to find something tangible. and maybe it comes maybe it doesn't. maybe you lose connection to other people, being so introverted all the time, convinced that your mind is created all of the "outside" stuff. Whereever or whatever you are identified with helps to form your perception of the world and the world appears to behave the way your perceive it to. High School aged kids often become identified with their "image", as a way to fit with and be accepted with other kids, they take on the image of what seems to be the most acceptable, look at how they all label themselves away, thinking they are individuals but they all wear the same uniform that's been sold to them from the prepackaged mainstream entertainment industry. They believe that they are this "emo kid" or whatever. Their image helps them connect with other kids of the same image. It's like a mask they wear until they either out grow it or that image dies off with the times (or evolves). You are not your fashion sense. You are not your musical taste. You are not your opinions. You are not your favorite band or television show or author or whatever. You are not your intelligence or lack thereof. Not to say these things aren't important. Enjoy life the way you want to, but make sure you know who you are. What happens when one's identity falls apart? What's left? You are the invisible light which is simultaneously infinitely small and infinitely huge because it has no size, no form, no limitations, no barriers, no shape, no location. It just is, and it's you. Imagine a light in the middle of a white room. This light can change into any color, any shade of that color any brightness. Whatever the light is set to, is what appears all around the room, on the walls. Bright blue results in bright blue walls, a bright blue room. Red results in a red room. You are this "light", the room is your experience of reality, of yourself. Whatever state of being you choose to have and be is what your reality will be. It's what you will experience. You are both the room and the light and the bulb. Events in our lives result in "mental loops", engrained beliefs that tell us that we have to be one way, so we continuously choose one state of being over another and our reality continuously gives us that experience to experience. Do you know cycles in your life? Or same events popping up in your life all the time? Do your interactions with people usually go the same way? What about your relationships? Are you repeating the same life cycles over and over again? It's time to shed some light, some awareness on them. Why are they there? Do you want to experience the same things over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again? Once you are aware of these mental loops, telling you the same things, the same "I can'ts" or whatever, telling you that you have to be one way or another, it's very easy to see them for the illusion that they are. And they will disappear, fade like a mirage, drift into oblivion. Do you have a thought telling you that you aren't free right now? Do you have a thought telling you that you must do this and this and this and this before you can be enlightened? You are enlightened right now. The only thing keeping you from being free is your own thought that convinces you that you are not. The "I need to do this and this before I can be enlightened" mindset is you believing that you are not yet worthy of enlightenment, like you must suffer to get it or must complete a ridiculous task or whatever to get it. But you are right now. You are the one with the key. You can free yourself now if you want to. You don't need to do anything at all for it, so why believe those thoughts that tell you you must? Everything, everything, everything in your reality is a "shade" of you and what you choose to be. The physical reality is an experience of you, divided up into what appears to be separation so you can have a different type of experience of yourself, as opposed to the one "state of being" the one feeling that is the entirety of you and invisible. Physical reality is your state of being broken into "separate (not really)" pieces so that you are able to experience you that way. Learn. Grow. Play. Dance. Do whatever you want. instead of just "BEING" in the invisible consciousness. Physical reality is the yang and the formless is the yin. They go hand and hand and are both the same thing. one is not more important than the other. or better or anything. they just are, and both are vitall for a full experience of you. it's the sweet and the sour, you wouldn't know sweet if it weren't for the sour. You wouldn't know the world of forms if it weren't for the formless. You wouldn't know everything if it weren't for nothing. And then, everything and nothing reveal themselves to be one in the same, which they absolutely are. (continued in reply. i typed too much. 17000 characters! |

There is no absolution. There is no finish line. This is not a race, nor is it an exit. Don't expect perfection, perfection is an idea, made by man. You are infinity realized and experienced and you can experience anything you want to. Infinity is infinity, there's no end to it, so don't put a limit on it by saying there is an end point that you must make it to. The journey never ends. It's a journey of experience and learning and growth. And you are on the cusp of something great. You are already there, but you're perceptions are loosening so that you are able to truly see the world as it is........you. Are you looking for a "way out"? A way out from what? You? You can never escape you. Everything about you is presented for you to experience in your reality. Your thoughts (which are not your mind), your feelings (Especially your feelings), your tensions, your perceptions, how you expect the world to look.....ect. All of it is you and is what you experience. They are all tools for you to shape your world. Pay attention to your tension. At the end of the day, there is just you and then that which you resist. That which you resist becomes tension inside of you, inside of the body you inhibit and inside of your reality. It's all related and manifests in the form of physical pain, or material lacking, or whatever. It's only that way because you resist it. You create a tension by trying to block something out (which is actually just a part of you), and this tension is mirrored all throughout every aspect of you, spiritual, mental, physical, your environment and reality. Don't resist. Accept it. Open yourself up to your tension and invite it in. Are you creating a tension/resistance to the life you actually want? The resistance is "manifested" as resistance in you getting what you want. It's manifested as a delayed or issues or the appearance of your dream life never being able to come your way. Resistance/tension feels tight, like you are squeezing part of yourself super super super hard. Openness feels free, feels open. "GET OPEN LIKE THE OCEAN". You are the ocean. You are the invisible sea. Get open. Be it. Everything in the physical reality also has it's own feel, it's own experience. That's the point of the physical reality, to experience the illusion of separation. It's all a mirror/whatever of the big picture, the entirety of you, but you can still feel and experience what seems to be a "new" thing. You "open" or "invite" that experience in. Pay attention to people in your experience. See how each other feels a little different and you can bring that feeling into "you" to experience. Everything in your reality has a unique feel. Be open to experience them. That's the entire point of this game we call life. Don't resist or build up tension to other people or the "world outside". The world outside is one of the most important relationships you can have. How do you view it? How do you treat it? The truth is there isn't a world outside, it's all you but there is the illusion of separation. There is no inside or outside. It's all just right now. It's all just here. It's this one moment right now. Do you need to try to be in this one moment right now? No. You are. You can never ever not be right now, ever. Stop trying. Do you need to try to be yourself? Do you need to try to be awareness? No. You already are. Stop trying. you exist right now. know this. BE IT. BE AWARE OF IT. The world is both subjective and objective. You can view is from the big picture perspective as this moment, and see how everything interrelates and is a mirrored reflection of you, an extension of you that changes and grows as you do. And you can experience this moment from the smaller details, experience the people and situations and objects and all of that for what they are. Just don't get lost in it, don't forget that it's always you and you can change it anytime you want. RELEASE ALL YOUR TENSION! IT'S ALL YOUR STRIFE! Fear and Love. Two paths. Two sides of the same coin. That coin is you. Fear results in tension and constriction. Love results in freedom and openness. Fear wants to control. Love allows to be. What is love? Love is simply openness and acceptance. When one person loves another, they allow that person to be exactly who they are, without any judgments or requirements for that person to fit. They are accepted for everything that they are. You cannot ask more of a person than to simply accept you for who you are. When two people are open with each other and accepting of one another, they see that they are the same. Do you love yourself? Fear is the opposite. It's constriction. It's tension. It's resistance. It's controlling. It feels tight. It feels like you are squeezing yourself super tight. both are you. both are aspects of you. both help mold your reality. where is your tension? what is your fear? how do you view yourself and this moment in front of your eyes? how do you perceive the world? do you think the world is out to get you? do you think the world works against you? do you think you cannot have what you want? do you think it's wrong to desire? do you think it's wrong to want? what happens when you change these perceptions? your world changes because your world is you and you are your world. when you change it changes. how you view it, and yourself, is how it and yourself will be. you are floating in a sea of infinity and you can choose to see anything that you want. what are you looking for? what do you choose to see and experience? what do you choose to be? why? now the most important question of all what do you truly want? figure it out. figure out what you truly want to experience. figure out how you truly want to be. figure out the life you truly want to lead. beyond the fear and conditioned thoughts that tell you it's impossible or won't happen. the only reason it's not happening or won't, is because you choose to not let it to. anything is possible. reform your conditioned thoughts. let go of your illusionary mind. stop trying to be enlightened. "surrender" by not doing anything at all, by realizing there is nothing for you to do because the joke is you are looking for you and you can never find it but you can always just be it. be it. stop trying to find truth and just be it. that's what surrending truly is. realizing there's nothing to find. nothing you can point to, and that the continued search is pointless. you are not surrending into something. you don't surrender so that you become something or that you achieve some new state of being. you surrender the stupid game of looking for perfection and truth because you are that truth you are looking for and "you" cannot be pointed to. you are everything and nothing. you are the rocks and the trees, the ocean and the sand, your thoughts and the birds, the inside and outside, there is no separation between you. there is nothing that you are not. you can only BE you. so just be you. there is only right now. who do you choose to be right now? what state of being are you choosing to experience.....right now and how does your reality reflect that? Synchronicities. I read a post on these boards earlier today that said for a synchro to truly be a synchro it must have THREE appearances, not just two but THREE. man that made me laugh. EVERYTHING IS A SYNCHRO! DON'T YOU GET IT?! FROM THE PAVEMENT ON YOUR DRIVEWAY TO THE BUILDBOARD DOWN THE ROAD IT'S ALLLL A REFLECTION OF YOU. WHAT ELSE CAN IT BE? The more you are aware of yourself, and how you relate to your reality, the more they appear, well they've always been appearing, you just haven't noticed them. absolutely everything in your reality is a "synchro" of YOU!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha synchros must come in threes! no wait! a synchro must appear 8 times before it can be a true synchro! yeah right, come on guys. let go off those barriers! its all you baby. be cool with that! all of it. |

Awesome! Thanks for this post! As I read it, I had my own insight. What you resist, persists, as they say. Attention is energy. Focus is energy. Visualization is energy. Tension is also energy. What you resist, persists because tension is energy so by resisting, you feed energy into what you resist. Release the tension. Don't feed manifestations you don't want. |

Fantastic stuff. Feels good to read. This might not translate to words, but this is what I've found myself doing: I'll sit in a chair and hold my arm in front of myself and say "this is my arm", I'll look at my legs and say "those are my legs" so now I'm seeing two "parts" of myself. Then I'll look at my bookshelf and think "that's my bookshelf", like it's a part of my actual body. I do that for every thing I see in the room and pretty soon my "body" is everything I can see. My arm rests on the table which rests on the floor which rests on the earth which rests on space. Although the physical world is illusory, the more I think this way I start imagining the whole world being my body where everything is literally touching everything else, one big "body". And of course for that to be true, my body and the rest of the objects in the world are inseparable yet inter-changeable. All are ONE THING. And nothing in this world more, or less, important than anything else--including my physical body and identity. I also love your analogy of the light in the room. That's exactly what it feels like, when in a good state the sun shines brighter, there is more activity wherever you are, people are more happy and laughing, it's like that dimmer switch on a lamp. Turn the switch down, feel gloomy, the world starts being a gloomy place. Why do you think it's always raining in movies when the couple breaks up or the main character is facing a crisis? It's "just" a movie but the point is that the physical environment changes with the feelings of the character. And we are just fictional characters in the biggest most lavish movie ever filmed. | Why pat yourself on the back brother? I believe in what you believe regarding non-duality. I have experienced it though I can't say I'm a walking non-dual conscious awareness. There's a point where words really lose any power to convey truth and that's a very low threshold. Look at the Vigyan Bhairava (translated by Paul Reps as "Centering"); one or two sentences that take you there. I do appreciate how you try to dovetail nondual awareness with manifesting and attracting. I think what blocks many of us - myself included - from manifesting what we desire is not lack of belief or rudimentary technique. No, it's psychological blocks. You rarely hear this addressed. I'm talking about all kinds of unconscious blockages. They can be fears, angers, often resentments. These are emotional, not language based. You can call them samskaras if you like. Maybe they're illusion, ultimately. However, they're real enough when one looks inside impartially. I think they can be transformed but it's not so easy. Not as easy as many claim. We're complicated beings with who knows what histories and unconscious minds. I believe leaps can be made but one needs to know how to really jump. It's not as simple as visualizing a particular outcome. Would that it were brothers and sisters. |

| How many paintings did Picasso paint? How many compositions did Mozart compose? How many brushstrokes in each painting? How many musical notes in each minute of music? How many grains of sand on the beach? How many leaves on a tree? How many birds in the sky? How many... Last edited by cylon; 07-16-2010 at 08:20 PM. |

| It's 110 or so of these very brief instructions. You can find the whole text at the end of "zen flesh, zen bones." Paul Reps. But here's three to whet your appetite. (These were supposed to have been spoken to Devi by Shiva) Meditate on the make-believe world as burning to ashes, and become being above human. Consider any area of your present form as limitlessly spacious. At the point of sleep when sleep has not yet come and external wakefulness vanishes, at this point being is revealed. (one more) Here is a sphere of change, change, change. Through change consume change. |

is comparing my writing to the texts of the greats, not an act of separation? to value one style of writing over a nice, is that not an act of separation? i wrote to explain the experience of self realization from many different points in the journey. its raw unfiltered truth because it is the truth of my experiences and what i have learned from them all. while i do read and reading definitely helps to open the mind or to get one back in touch with themselves, i speak from my experiences only. if i never saw the blue sky, but about it in a book, i would not talk about the truth of a blue sky until i experienced it for myself. this is my raw unfiltered truth. the things i experienced and learned to be true for myself, from different points in the journey, different points in the self realization process. i read a post by nic that reminded me that the experience was different throughout the different stages of it i went through and i wanted to share all i knew and experienced at each different stage. |

here it is in a few simple sentences: Experiencing (observation) and Creating are the same thing, like hot and cold, sweet and sour, they appear to be two separates but are not. Just BE. Your tension is the reason for all of the problems in your life. Get open like the ocean, let go of your tension, it's all your strife. Don't fight the (a) feeling, just deal with it. You "let go" of tension by confronting it, bringing awareness to it, feeling it and letting whatever you resist be. There is only right now. |

Hy! Very well written, but also a bit confusing for a ordinary person. I admire your words of wisdom i realy do, but for instance if person is unhappy about his/her relationship status..what exactly should he/she do? I know that BE it...but is this like "letting go and never think about it and release youself to higher power" or "be it like you already have what you want"?..cos the second one is kinda tricky, if you don't realy have it. Hope I didn't confuse you too much Thx |
