Friends contacting me when I think about them.

Lately I've been having some moments where I've been thinking about a person or wanting to get in contact with them and about 1/2 an hour later they contact me.

Very strange.

For example the otherday I was thinking I have to write this person (who I haven't heard from in months). Just as I was about to write to them I get an email from them.

This happens to me quite a bit. What is it?

I also remember finding out some news about a friend who I hadn't seen in years. I was so freaked out by the news, that I went for a long road trip in the night and kept going over the news in my mind.

So what happens two days later (after years of not seeing this person) I bump into her at a music gig and we catch-up and we discuss things.

Really wierd.

It's the LoA at work. That is probably the first thing I noticed when I started learning about the LoA. And it still happens a lot. Unfortunately sometimes I think about people I don't really want to talk to, so it's a double-edged sword!!

Some say that the Law of Coincidence is even more powerful than the LoA.

I would tend to say that's also more a level of telepathy.

Well I believe in the monistic theory of the universe, where it says we are all one...everything is made up of one substance, and that thought is what affects this substance. So we are all beacons that emanate thought and mold the substance around us, and we can receive other thoughts. It is also how they explain IM - our thoughts are impressing the substance around us to bring us what we want.

Or if you believe in subjective reality (which I don't personally), they are part of you. Someone else would have to explain this to you, I'm not too sure about SR.

Coincidence to me means it just happened by accident and there's nothing more to it.

So you don't think it's anything, that there was nothing higher happening here?

I don't think that it's prudent to try to ignore the Law of Coincidence.

Sometimes somethings are just coincidences. Nothing more.

For example, I shop at the local health food co-op. On most trips I recognize a few other shoppers. Are they in the store because I subconsciously willed them there with the LoA or is it the mighty LoC which is in effect?

Yes but shoppers you've seen before and actually thinking about your friends are a little bit different IMO.

I guess it's also been happening to me a lot lately, so it's not like it's once in a blue moon. I think it might be good for me not to ignore my thoughts and just put it down to coincidence. I think that sometimes can be the problem that we put things to down to coincidence and ignore what is really happening. Anyway, I will keep an eye on it.

That's happened to me quite a lot, and I'm never surprised when it does - something inside me seems to know the difference between simply thinking of a friend, and thinking of a friend who's about to show up. I'm sure if I could reproduce the feeling I get, they'd *all* show up whenever I thought of them. Maybe it's the same feeling that manifests cups of coffee and pizzas for other people, maybe it's the feeling combined with the certainty that they'll appear that manifests them. Maybe not - I may have 'believed and received', but I don't remember taking any action or even asking them to show in the first place Maybe I've just had too much beer...

The 'telepathy' comment reminded me of when my sons were around three and four (they're seventeen and eighteen now), and we went through a phase where I'd be thinking of something and I'd get a verbal reply to my thought from one of them on the subject, even though I'd not actually said anything. Sometimes we had brief but entire conversations in this way. Weirdly, I think I imagined that all mums communicated with their kids like this and it just seemed normal to me at the time. It's only now that I look back that I see it as pretty amazing. I've since had two daughters as well, and this didn't happen with either of them.

When you're shopping at a local health food store, that tends to show that you are drawn to a health food store, and seeing others who also shop there, and then seeing them again, as you become familiar with their faces, is the LOA at work, as you are all being attracted to the same place. You are all attracting like minded people within your vicinity.

Dorothy - I had to smile at seeing your post under mine, because I enjoy your posts so much on the 'what have you manifested' thread (you always sound so joyful and enthusiastic) that one day I thought I'd see if I could manifest another 'dorothy hanna' post on there I logged on later on and there were three of them
