Default how to develop your mastermind alliance?do forums count?

I've been trying to set up a master mind alliance as per Think and Grow Rich for my ventures (sorry i cross posted with the finance forum, not sure which forum is the right one, forgive me if this offends anyone!), and it's been quite hard.

The people I meet with good financial skills are not particularly trustworthy, people who have talents that I will need for the venture are not into personal development and refuse to read Think and Grow Rich, people who are both trustworthy and have skills are more interested in other things then being rich...

The only good support Ican find for the past few months are various forums such as these...

Right now I think I'll do fine without an alliance, but eventually I will - can I rely on people on the internet? Highly doubtful, and TaGR says this is vital. Any tips?

(If anyone's interested, I've started part time study to pursue a career in psychology, and right now income is from my old job which I'm continuing part time, as well as some internet streams of income that is still in its infancy - I have all the skills more or less required for this - but when I finish my pysch degree I plan to expand and thats when I will need a solid mastermind alliance.)

People on the forums are the same people as in real life. Hopefully none of us are really computer programs in disguise, trying to mine what it means to be human.

Just believe that you'll find what you're looking for and that will train your mind to keep a look out for it. If you think that you won't find them and that people on the forums are untrustworthy, then that's all you're going to find.

I would say that the people here seem like good people, but then again many people here believe in subjective reality. This means that they might not believe in good and bad themselves.

A solution for you would be to:
1. Keep a lookout for what you want.
2. Engage in interactions with the people that you want to work with
3. Build trust over time
4. Mobilize your army and take over the world!!!!

oh sorry! that's not what I meant? I meant that the people on the forums are the only good support I've been getting, all the others I was referring to people I meet in real life - hence my question if people on forums count as your Mastermind alliance!

TheFlyingMan, perhaps you would like to join us at the next Melbourne meet - check the thread on Local Groups - "Australia-Melbourne".

I've specifically mentioned that I would like to do some goal setting and mastermind group work!

This way, you get the best of both worlds - you have real-life support from local folk, and because we all met through this forum, you know we all have an interest in PD!

Look forward to meeting you!

Cheers,
Claire

I am not sure the forums would count as a mastermind group.

As a support network sure, but a MM group tends to be more focused on helping each other reach their goals rather than discussing their goals.

It is a good place to find people with similar interests though. I am in the process of building a mastermind online right now. With people from all over the world.

Our goal is to take over the worl.. *ahem* part of it anyway is to build a big network of successful interconnected monetized websites.
