Default Manifesting a LG Chocolate Phone: Is that a darkworker attribute?

So I had the brilliant idea this morning of manifesting an LG Chocolate Phone because I really can't afford such a wonderful thing and I am in need of a new phone. Is it a Darkworker attribute to want something solely for myself? Is this a negative thing?

Excellent [raspy breath]. You are becoming one with the Dark side.

Soon you will want a BMW M3 as I do. Then you and I shall destroy the republic once and for all! Together we will claim victory in our zesty German engineered chariots. You, wielding your stylish LG Chocolate phone, and me with my somewhat manlier Nokia N70.

Come Akashic_Librarian..[raspy breath]..destiny awaits.

...We'll need to do something about that name too. It sounds too...clerical.

great post JHL

Librarian, nothing wrong with wanting a phone, if you're a darkworker for wanting a phone I'm the devil for wanting my own house....

I don't think so (admittedly I'm still trying to work this all out myself.) But here's my perspective:

You have to keep digging deeper. There's some reason, somewhere, as to why you want this phone. Not just, "Cause it'd be cool" but "Because I want to be cool" or "because my friend has one" or "because I liked the ads".

In most cases, the reason you want a cell phone is to keep in touch with friends and family. So light/dark would be determined by your relation with friends and family. If most of the times you call a friend, he hangs up feeling better, then you having a phone is a light thing, and wanting a phone is a lightworker thing. If you're mean and abusive, and being in contact with you is painful for people, then the phone would be dark.

But you want a new phone, and I'm guessing you already have a phone that, although it may be old and clunky, does keep you in touch with friends and family. So the question is actually, Why do you want THIS phone? And that's likely to be a fear/love answer. If you want to not be thought of as uncool for your old, clunky phone, then that's a fear-based desire. You fear being uncool, and want to change that. If you want text-messaging because it would let you keep in touch with more people (and assuming, as above, that you're a nice guy) then it's a love-based. If you want it because the gods of media and commercialism have sunk their talons into you and you simply crave the latest "thing", then you'll have to analyze why the ads were so effective. If you want it because you're a high-tech junkie, you have to analyze why technology has such fascination for you. If you fear being thought of as outdated, it's darkworker. If you love learning how new things work, it's probably lightworker. (I haven't determined yet whether scholarship counts as lightworker or not.) Those are questions only you can answer.

The other question is how you intend to manifest it. If you go out of the house and look for someone to help, and then mention to the universe, "At some point, I'll probably be getting something in return for this, and when that happens... no rush... I wouldn't take it amiss if that happened to be in the form of an LG Chocolate Phone." That's pushing, paying it forward, however you want to phrase it. That's lightworker.

If you concentrate on getting the phone, and promise to do something nice if you get it, that's pulling, or using karmic debt, or however you want to phrase it. That's darkworker.

I know that none of that is an answer. But hopefully it'll at least help you start to find an answer.

Update: I just realised that I wrote that entire message from the lightworker perspective, and associated dark with evil. While I recognize that this is not necessarily true, I also think I can't expunge my bias enough to write a better answer. So I merely point out my bias here, and will leave it to someone with a more balanced or darkworker perspective to point out the flaws.
