For those of you who haven't read this yet: How to Visualize Your New Reality For those of you that have read this, I was looking at the "Write it Down" section of this article. Has anyone here used journalling in the "future" as a way of manifesting? If so, are there any tips or advice you could offer? Here are some questions I have: 1) Is there an advantage of writing with pen/paper as opposed to creating a Word document? 2) Is this something you would do daily? 3) If it's not something you do daily, would you do it once and forget about it or come back to read it periodically? asking about 2 & 3 specifically due to the "Law of Detachment" and all of its implications... As always, any comments are greatly appreciated - TIA! |

I like writing better on paper because I can carry my journal around with me. I don't journal about my new reality daily, but i do alot of positive affirming things to get to my new reality. I write about what I want my future to be like and accept that it will happen. The balance for me is that I know it doesn't have to be tomorrow, or the day after that but it will happen and in the meantime I will continue taking the action. Its not something I do once and then forget about personally. I refine it alot. I put up pictures of what I want. I clear out any clutter and clear out my room. I organise things to be how I want them. I seek out help. Actively seek out people who can help me and solicit their help, friends, family and professionals. I invest the time and the money and continue to make it all happen. |

Maybe pen/paper vs computer depends on the person. I prefer to journal online because I'm a bit of a perfectionist and, for me, my entries look much nicer and neater online. When I write things, I have the bad habit of obsessing over silly things like misspelled words, scratch-outs, ink smudges, etc., and I wouldn't be able to focus on the bigger picture of visualizing and creating my new reality. Also, when I journal this way, I make my entries private so that only I can read them. I've often thought about letting my friends read them, that maybe this would lend a bit more power and realism to the process because, of course, they would think this stuff is happening now. It feels like lying though, so I haven't done it yet, but I might later on when I get more comfortable with the idea. |

I haven't read the blog entry yet, but I am as of today fully embracing story-writing as a technique. What I'd like to know is, how do I deal with things I've not experienced and am mostly ignorant of? As an example, not something I plan to do, but how might I approach an account of learning to fly a plane?

1) I don't think that there is a difference in writing with a pen versus on the computer. Which one flows more naturally for you? 2) Writing daily about it should be okay if it's to stay focused or to refine your descriptions. But don't make the mistake of being obsessed. That's where the detachment comes in. Remember to always tell yourself: "This or something better -- The Universe knows better". Maya |
