You have all heard about Vision Boards from The Secret. This guy, Malcolm Cohan, has come up with a really simple and effective idea that takes Vision Boards to a whole new level. If I just told you about it you probably wouldn't believe how effective it is, you really have to see it to believe it. Check it out here: http://www.malcolmcohan.com Essentially his idea is to make a video containing images of what you intend to manifest along with bold statements and inspirational music. Simple idea, but just watch his video and see how powerful it is. |

Wow, that's pretty cool. It's even one step beyond what I coach and market. (The LifeVision has the audio but not the visual). I can see some real advantages to that....and yet one big disadvantage. The LifeVision is completely portable. I get to listen to it on my iPod while working out, I can listen to it in the car while I'm driving. I can multi-task while I'm doing it because of the effect of the super-learning music which takes it to the sub-conscious. Really cool though. Did anyone find the cost? I clicked on a few links and was unable to find anything. |

The LifeVision looks interesting annie, and I can see that being audio only would have its benefits. However, when I watched Malcolm’s video I felt like I had actually witnessed all that good stuff happen. Very refreshing after all the bad news we are bombarded with. The prices are Australia AU$440, US/Europe $795, and Online AU$350. I was booked into his Melbourne seminar last month, but he had to cancel due to injury. He is rescheduling it for May and I can’t wait. It’s more than just instructions on how to make the video. His intention is to help people discover their purpose, or “quest” as he puts it. That is exactly what I need. I feel like I know how to manifest things in my life but I have no idea what I want or why I should want it. In that regard, this is the most exciting thing I have found in a long time. |

I've been following Malcolm since December, and I think he's doing fantastic work. I attended his online Seminar on Jan 1st, and have since created my own vision statement. Eric Blue's Blog: My Vision Statement I'd really recommend this to anybody interested in goal setting and the power of intention and focus. |

i am not finsished yet but i made an virtual vision board that includes a flash slide show, flash controlled soundtrack, goals and a flash movie that spells out simple affirmations. its also pretty easy to change stuff so if an image or music becomes stale i can change it for variation.

The first time i saw Malcom's video I got goosebumps. It was just so cool. I emailed him for details - and nothing. I checked youtube a week later and saw he was starting a free seminar online - because so many people had emailed him with requests - awesome. So I tuned in on the selected day - cause 'the technology is there he said ' and waited - nothing. Then - a week later - I saw where he finally decided to 'charge' for his seminars. I had already found out that PhotoStory will do the job. You could probably even use Powerpoint. I like Malcolm, I love his videos, and it truly is a great idea - but....... he always talks about how the software is free - but he'll never come out and tell you how to do it, or what to download - unless you sign up for his seminars. If he really wanted to teach everyone to help change the planet - you'd think he tell us how to do it for free. But then again - if it was me - I'd probably do the same thing - so there you go. Photostory is free from Microsoft - but you have to have a legal copy of XP with Genuine Advantage checked and SP2 to download it. I guess there is a MAC alternative as well. |

Windows XP comes with Windows Movie Maker (whether it is licensed or not). Memories on Web is another free and easy movie maker for Windows. For Mac I believe you can use iPhoto or FotoMagic. IMO the tools are the easy part. The key is working out what you really want. Quote: | ||

Hey all. Thanks for the great suggestions. I started creating my vision board (using Photo Story 3) this weekend. This is very, very cool. I do have one question though and I was hoping I might be able to get some help with it. I love the way Eric's vision board has captions as white text on black background between slides. However, I can’t get mine to work the same way. I’ve saved a plain black image and added white text but I can’t get the panning/zooming thing to work like his does. If you have any suggestions for me on how to do this they would be greatly appreciated. Also, if there are any other places I could ask these questions let me know. I Google-searched for a while and wasn't able to find anything. Thanks! |

Anybody know a photostory like tool for linux ? I tried different video editors, and none of them could do the job. I tried openoffice impress, great for making the images, fails when i want to add sound. The music stops playing when entering the next dia. |

Hey everybody If here are any LINUX users who wants to create there own vision boards. I found a tool, dvd slideshow . It is basically a command line tool, which you feed a textile with the filenames of the pictures and other arguments. I made my first vision statement as a test, and posted it on youtube. YouTube - My Vision Statement If you need some help creating an input file, ask and I will give. |

If I could inspire anything in people I would want for them to visualize the way the world will look and feel when it works (instead of pointing out what doesn't work). Even if you don't have the time/patience to learn how to do a vision statement, you can work for abundace, joy, justice, and fantabulous fun by being open to the possibility that we can create a world that works and by declaring your vision. We are looking for your vision for the world. Come share at Visualize Possibilities » VIP Meme Project: Visualizing a World That Works. With gratitude, Heather Flanagan |

Hi Ellie, That's a fair observation. I think the level of detail for each vision statement/video varies from person to person. For me, I view the vision statement as the compass (direction and emotional driver). And, I use a handful of techniques as the map(detailed, step-by-step instructions) for making things happen. One technique that I've found useful is using mindmaps to achieve my goals. All of these goals align with my statements from the video. Eric Blue's Blog |
