Mods, sorry if this thread is in the wrong place, but I couldn't decide where to put it. I'm looking for a good intro to quantum physics for an English major who likes math and has basic understanding of classical physics (i.e. it can have some math -- I'm not scared -- but oughtn't be heavy on it). I really want to understand quantum theory as it stands from a purely scientific perspective. We all know that it comes up A LOT in LoA/IM/New Age spirituality, but I have absolutely no way to determine whether the New Agers writing about it actually understand what they're saying. Unfortunately, I don't have the background to just pick up a textbook and read it. Can anyone help me? Thanks! |

You might want to check out the following BBC documentary: The Illusion Of Reality It's not a book recommendation, but if you're looking a good introduction to quantum physics, I think this video does a great job. It's actually the third part of Atom, a BBC documentary series that discusses quantum mechanics. Last edited by Mister Change; 04-24-2010 at 06:36 PM. |
