Default New Age "workout buddy" thread.. :)

It's time to create a thread for anyone needing encouragement on "new methods" on being kept up to making changes in their life that they can come here.. and get into a buddy/sponsor system to be challenged..

To stay/keep up on spiritual methods and teachings.. some of the stuff in here may get repetitive same methods (recommended a lot) but we'll try and spice it up with various/different methods to keep it going

This thread is created to help "rockchick" but all are welcome

To participate in this thread.. just declare what changes your going to make.. and when people give you advice/things to try.. post back and talk about your success/having done it.. say if it help "was the same" or "didn't help"

Sure I'll participate..

I'm trying to get the time in to meditate 15 minutes a day.

My problems: feeling very self conscious around my husband about this and being way to addicted to the internet

As well as finding 500 excuses every day to simply NOT do it....

What's your goal first off?

Is it just to meditate.. what's the end result of the goal or you don't know?

If you say.. just to be a better me..

Isn't there other ways to do this?

No, my goal to meditate is to achieve a sense of relaxation, clarity and purpose.

I do meditate every now and then and I feel more grounded, more peaceful and more at piece with myself.

It also allows me to be more active in almost every other area. It gives me more will power and makes me over all a happier person.

Besides, it is also an exercise in will power. If I can be successful with this small thing, that doesn't take anything, I can slowly build into bigger things.

Edit: I cannot be a better me. I am perfect just the way I am, right at this moment. Tomorrow I'll be something different and that will be perfect for that moment as well

I absolutely agree with you!

Well, how come you need to do this if your perfect already..? lol

I think maybe you need to agree to the "better me" idea.. maybe

Would you not agree that you could achieve.. relaxation, clarity and purpose via other methods??

What about some art?? Pottery, clay, painting? Even sex? I mean it don't matter

(I'm not trying to beat up your purpose here.. and if this conversation is not helping.. just say so )

But in your particular case I think you don't want to meditate.. cause you could find better things to do with your time.. and I think you don't seem to be open to exploring "anything but meditation" as a limitation.. it has to be meditation that gives you?

relaxation? clarity? and purpose? yes?

Alright, workout buddy.. you want more meditation time, yes?

Don't reply till you meditated for 15 minutes.. see you in a 15 minutes to a hour!

This is exactly my problem (minus the husband part! )

I sometimes think the internet is 99% of my problem, because it makes it MUCH easier to get stuck planning and thinking and not doing. Maybe me and you need to go on a computer fast? I actually was going to do this last year at some point but I never did. I can't even go a day without it. Do you have a lot of things you would get behind on if you didn't go online every day? I get about 30 emails a day, and some of them are job related, so I kind of have to keep up with those in case I get a reply about a job I applied for. I also have to keep in touch with my friends because my internet friends I consider closer than most of my real life ones. Do you have that too?

I just thought, and I have to add this, I guess I don't blame the computer for my problems, because I never did anything before I got a computer either! I just hung out with my friends, I wanted nothing to do with getting a better education, learning things, going places, or growing in any way. Now I actually want to fullfill my dreams (I actually HAVE dreams now, up until a few years ago all I cared about was getting a boyfriend and hanging out with my friends!) So yeah I can't blame my computer, before I had this I was just as addicted to sitting in front of my stereo listening to cd's for hours on end. Hmmm this is really eye opening, I'm glad I thought of that. I'll stop thinking out loud now!

Wow, I would say you are doing great already! You can actually report good results from meditating, that's more than I can say. I wish I could have half as much success as you have!

I don't really need encouragement for anything master but to just have your lovely words spoken directly to me would be worth the world in oysters.

Anyway, now I think about it, yes, perhas you could give me some encouragement on surrender, proper surrender to the higher self.

I would like to know where do your thoughts go when you are in complete surrender to your higher self. I obviously put outta my mind all that I want manifested and begin to get on with my perceived perfect life.

Now, should I bring my thoughts back to the plans in this reality, as living in the moment doesn't allow for much planning. However, I have found myself making plans for my business etc.

Is this surrender, continuing as everything is perfect and leaving all thoughts about the manfestation alone, although higher self is occasionally throwing random thoughts about manifestation into my head, for which I chastise higher self for being so cheeky. But it just feels so damn right, its tangible.

Any thoughts? Oh you make me go weak at the knees in anticipation of your response.

I shall contain myself and wait in a state of preponderance as to what words of wisdom the master will issue forth for me.

Such delicious torment.

tee hee.

I'm not supposed to answer yet, because I haven't done my 15 minutes of meditation yet... so sssssstttt don't tell The Master

meditation on my own doesn't work for me. I get distracted. I do tell myself nice stories, so it is not all wasted time, but not any good meditation time.

This website has podcast that really do the trick for me:
The Meditation Podcast | guided meditations, binaural beats - free download to itunes or computer

Maybe they'll help for you as well.. I especially like the one of the "sacred space". Makes me very happy inside to go there

Let's give this a whirl-

1. In the next 3 weeks I would like to have 3-4 more clients start in my private practice.

2. I would like to succesfully complete my black belt test in June (testing for third degree)

3. I would like the blocks in my love relationship to be removed.

4. Lastly, I would like to have my book ready for publication by the end of the year.

I think I'm good with that.

If you want to know what I'm already doing to make this happen, here it is:

Private practice: I have an ad up on a couple psychology sites and I am listed with several insurance companies. I am also in the process of credentialing with another.

Black belt test: I'm training 4-5 days a week

Relationship: That one's more difficult as I can't "control" what he does or doesn't do.

Novel: I try to write every day, but that isn't working out so well.

Any ideas for this are welcome! Things are going well, but they could be going even better!

Would having somewhere readily accessible that would enable you to meditate without your husband knowing help?

I've been hearing a lot of "surrender" talk lately.. especially via darma and *cough* another thread..

What is surrender?

Well, if you ask me.. the way you describe "surrender" is simple.. you are "surrendering" your EGO..

You are saying the moment.. whatever you have planned for me inner-pie-in the-sky.. let's have at it!

And that's not a bad thing at all.. that's a good thing! Given how difficult the EGO can make it here

How to live a perfect life?? Masters 101?

In any moment.. do what you want.. it's simple right!

Alright for people like "rockchick" not simple at all!

As I said to "rockchick" every day I do what I want.. let me describe what I decided to do today.. and what workouts I did in accruance with the workout thread

Today, I went into Borders and did a self Reading for the first time with "Angel Cards" or something like that Doreen Virtue (or some name like that.. I've seen her angel threads on spiritlibrary)

I got the following 4 cards (I was going for 3.. but ended up with 2 stuck together)

I got a reading of Brave, Sweetness, Triumphant, Love on my question.. (I can't translate what this reading means cause I didn't buy them/translate book.. lol) and then I asked what my card for the day was.. which was something like "be the decider"/know your own your path..

Then in addition I read and perused various "new age" books.. spotted some information that might help "rockchick" and beyond that.. I have just been practicing the things my teacher asks me to do..

I also decided to take a unplanned and only guided drive down to St. Louis and around there.. and ended up at the Arch's Park and taking nice pictures of a abandon/burned down church.. among other things I appreciated/photographed

I might also this very night assemble a physical octahedron as my teacher wants and listen to his latest free lecture (if it's available)

This doesn't pre-clued all the helpful advice I'll give tonight.. which is also apart of my spiritual workout

One can see that actively I've been involved in a decent amount of spiritual work this day And that is all by choice.. not cause I actively feel forced to do it

Anyway back to statements..

No, it doesn't the closer you become to NOW living.. the less EGO you can use.. or even make it work!

Planning is really EGO territory.. nic.. I'm know you say you don't activate your EGO.. but my understanding is you do.. and I've seen it out of you..

There's nothing wrong with using the EGO for the focus tool it is.. but what's the point when.. you can just offload/outsource everything to the universe?

As long as this business is exciting to you.. then go forth and do it..

But watch out for the EGO and or the real world playing shutdown on what should be a "fun and exciting venture" as sometimes all the crap.. (wordly rules and such) as usual drags down our great ideas.. sent to us

I think you just hit on something here..."by choice, not feeling forced to do it". Maybe that is why I have such an easy time with my stuff and not so much with other people's suggestions. When something starts to feel like homework, it isn't fun anymore. I just get sucked into things and those things lead to other things and I don't finish the previous things and before I know it, I have 15 things piled up that I want to do.

And since I'm posting I might as well add what I did today. I went to an alternative healing center open house, where I picked up a bunch of business cards and pamphlets and met with a lady who is offering to give free sessions of bio something or other (I forget what it's called). So I'm going to call there soon. Also today I read about 10 pages of an ebook called Creating Change In Your Life, and so far it sounds exactly like what I need. Well, I've also said that about everything else too so we'll see!

Yep, I know this is a issue I've been trying to address with you!

We have to find a way to make it fun for you.. even if you make that impossible

Okay, since you asked..

It sounds a lot more like you need a co-creation thread..

Let me offer again the "workout thread" was created to do work.. spiritual work involving making changes inside.. now if you're asking for techniques be glad to recommend some..

But I'm not going to make a sales pitch that said "techniques" are going to get everything above you want.. that's creation.. and you're welcome to ask for it..

I'm going to give you some manifestation ideas.. okay?

1. In the next 3 weeks I would like to have 3-4 more clients start in my private practice.

Co-creation is the best thing I can think of to work some "miracles" for you.. other then asking..?

2. I would like to successfully complete my black belt test in June (testing for third degree)

Intend to download/manifest insights into the black belt arena..

Say "I would like to understand black belt on a physical level w/ integration into my body before June if you can.. thanks much!"

3. I would like the blocks in my love relationship to be removed.

Problems you have in the relationship.. are ultimately problems you have with yourself.. it's a judgment that "something's wrong" so here are 2 ideas

a. Techniques

b. Ask to download insights into this relationship and ways to see it in a better light/Ask to clear the blockages so that love can flow forth between you too (or unconditional love )

4. Lastly, I would like to have my book ready for publication by the end of the year.

Ask for creative timing insights and motivations a pouring down of information and a time when you love to write it..

Word of warning here: This is a bit of a EGO based idea.. In that your forcing it to a timetable.. ALG wrote a book.. (only one I know on here who has you can ask him if he forced it to a timetable or how it came about for him )

If your wanting things to do everyday.. to make this happen.. I just gave you a list.. it could take you 5 minutes (without techniques) to ask for visualize it once a day.. now you don't even have to do that.. (I mean you can just ask once) but I guess if you want to workout.. that's what I would do.. or I would ask and the practice "techniques" only

You don't need to know the HOW of it.. it's helpful but not necessary..

No control required.. ask..

Once, again this is EGO and judgment.. if I understand writing.. it should get to be somewhat like how I answer posts.. I answer posts and time just flows on by me.. one second it was midnight then it's 4 a.m. that means your living in the moment.. excited at what you're doing.. and you creating LESS time.. don't force writing into a ego process if you can and hopefully ALG will have some words for you.. (or force him to respond like you did me.. by pm)

Well, I guess you're right and I got lost in all the terminology.

That said, and given the suggestions here, I will certainly put them to use.

Things are going well, but they could be going even better!
first off - best wishes on all of the above goals!! i believe you will achieve every single one!

i just wanted to offer input on the writing. i independently published a book (poetry, not a novel). i found that even though i "want" to write everyday, the forced writing isnt as flowing and truly heartfelt as when i am inspired. my suggestion - dont force it! ask for inspiration and listen for it to come. i have gotten out of bed in the middle of the night, pulled over and written on napkins, etc. it will present itself, have faith and patience.

that being said i think i will post my own things that i want to achieve now!

best wishes again

ok master....are you ready!? i am sure you are.

1. I am trying (which i believe may be my problem) to get out of the way of myself. - my goal - to be more in touch with (i dont like "the source" terminology, so will say with God, with Oneness)(no offense to those who use that term, probably cause i was raised christian) . i wish to surrender and "see" the possiblities of all that is.

2. everything else that i wish to achieve will happen if #1 can be achieved - but here are my goals in terms of manifestation
- I wonder what it would be like to find success in my writing?
- I wonder how i would feel to be financially stress free?
- I wonder how i will feel when my marriage has found its true place?

- I release these thoughts and questions to be answered and provided for in whatever method God sees fit.

I wish you were around a few months ago when I was arguing with people on here about this. I told them I wanted to write too and they said you have to write every single day, who cares what it is, just write something. And I said no it doesn't work that way, I have tried writing something, anything, and every single time I throw it away because it's stupid. They flat out told me I was wrong, but I knew I wasn't. I understand 100% that you can't force inspiration.

Thank you for this, it's the route I've kind of started going, so it's good to have that validation.

Good luck in your quest! I wish you the best!

I wouldn't invalidate what they said to you.. there's no wrong way to do it.. but as suggested many times on here.. I believe in doing things when you feel the ENERGY.. it works out much better that way..

________________________________________

I've got about 20+ minutes here to write before my teachers class starts.. let's see what I can do..

I have been on and off activating my teachers vibrational worlds with "sacred geometry" I mainly use.. certain, capable and commanding or the 3 c's.. I have been experimenting lately with senior and graciousness and sometimes I use playful, masterful and creative

Today my spiritual workout comprised some of the above it also comprised my stereo.. I have a problem with returning it.. (I normally do a type of swap in returns) but my stereo has a serial # and it was on the receipt and I considered this a problem in my return.. so I replaced my stereo with the exact same model

Which was a pain in the *ss to wrip apart my car.. etc. and I learned a whole lot of things this time vs. the last time I tried it a year or two ago..

When I got majorly stuck and I couldn't get it out.. I called for help.. and surprisingly within 10 minutes my major stuckness was over.. (so that's 1 spiritual thing I did) I've also been calling for help with this return too..

And so in a twist of irony I went in to do the return and surprisingly got routed to the auto department rather than the return department at wal-mart

And they returned it too.. without even verifying that the outside box's serial number matched the inside radio.. meaning that was a major twist of irony.. given the fact I didn't have to swap my radio after all!

Since I've done 100's of returns to walmart and this was my first auto department return (well, 2nd now that I remember.. but that was for a actual tire type thing) it was a bit of a weird surprise.. and that's the universe for you always keep you on your toes and showing you it's grace and power

So above all that.. here's some spiritual work/posts and sharing maybe to get rockchick one of these days to share some work she's done!

I would just use techniques to do this.. the techniques that I know to be most effective come from my teacher

If you haven't had a look at this maybe you should..

I get the feeling people get confused on the idea of the "workout buddy" thread.. the goal of this thread is to POST.. what you did today towards your goals.. stating your goals = good for a 1st post.. (I am actively sharing what I do every day or once in a while to show others/enable others to do it as well.. hint "rockchick")

But what did you do today.. this is why it was designed.. because I feed rockchick and others have.. 101 good suggestions.. she hears it all and then goes back to surfing

The goal of this thread is to post..

- I did 50 summersaults today *cough* new age translation.. I meditated for 15 minutes today.. hint.. hint.. ssandra!

Anyway.. a re-address on your questions.. with my 7 remaining minutes..

The simple answer is the easy answer.. ask for each of these things.. have you asked..?? practice "Essential Energy Tools" above to clear blockages/belief and definitions blocking you from manifestation

- I wonder what it would be like to find success in my writing?
- I wonder how i would feel to be financially stress free?
- I wonder how i will feel when my marriage has found its true place?

hello everyone!
this is a great idea!!!!!!
i would really like to have a buddy to talk to about my goals and use of manifestations. here is what i would like to achieve

1. meditate once a day for at least 15 minutes (not necessarily religious but anything that can calm my mind so i am looking for different ways ppl have meditate and what works the most)

2. get rid of my fear of ghosts and the paranormal - sometimes i am annoyed to be going to sleep alone although i will do it (this started after i watched the paranormal activity :-p) ...i think i know what to do with this which is basically focus on what is good in my life right now and forget that i have a fear and itll go away because i am sure in my mind that i am being haunted, im just scared of having this irrational fear

3. i would like to find someone who can be my best friend, my companion, my escapre, and a person who helps me grow and be a better person...its been about 7 months since i have been single and i am not hung up on any of my past relationships and i have been doing lots of visualizations and making vision boards but i need guidance on how to have versus want a lifelong relationship with someone who becomes my husband.

these are the three things that i am working on but i may be stuck...although as i say this i want to be positive and acknowledge that i know i will achieve my goals but i think i keep thinking about this in the future tense...i need to think and believe that i have achieved this. this is essentially what i would like to have a buddy for.

greatly appreciate everyone reading and any responses.
thank you all!

sorry master- i know this thread isnt for this, but, it is happening here anyway -

as far as the writing - one last thing- master was right, that there is no wrong way. here's my opinion, the best stuff just flows when your inspired. however, that doesnt mean you cant create something for later when your not. DO NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY....at least not right away. i like to hold onto, all kinds of tidbits of writing. sometimes when i get the "urge" or need to write, i will go back and use my inspiration to focus on everything i have already created. sometimes those "seeds" of writing will be looked at differently when your in a different mood. next thing you know, you edit, change, rework and rethink and then - blammo!- what you thought was crap before is now gold!

good luck.

Master - today i am reading your suggestions. Today i have made the sight you sent to me a "favorite" (the one you included in your response to me) and i intend to focus my attention there in my spare time today as opposed to here in an effort to learn.

today i watched a video on creating a torsion field and i will practice throughout the day in order to increase my energy.

today i am using this thread for its intended purpose!!

or is your part really just surrendering or not planning but just doing what you want to do right now?
can you elaborate because this quote of yours really caught my eye and im curious and would like to find out more

Last night I spent about 3 hours on making pros and cons lists for each of my options for my future. That worked out well, I got a little more insight and now I feel like my worst choices even have some good qualities to them.

Tried this thing where I write a letter to my subconcsious asking it to get rid of my habit of creating excuses (also telling my ego to step aside and get out of my way ) then I stick the letter under my pillow.

*For the record, that didn't work yet, I did it the last 2 nights and haven't gotten an answer yet, but I'll keep trying.
