| This is such a cool forum. I've been a Steve fan for a few months now, and it's great to be able to meet people who are into personal growth. My question is about the ideal length of time per day to hold an intention. I initially started using Robert Anthony's 11-minute audio, and I got decent results. Now I am trying to step it up to a half-hour of sustained manifestation per night. Is this going to be more effective than 11 minutes? What is the best length of time to hold an intention in a given day? Also, to shed more light on what I am trying to manifest -- how much luck has anyone had manifesting success with the opposite sex (or whichever sex you are into)? Is there a good, clear manifestation for it? I admit it -- like Al Green, I am tired of being alone Thanks to everyone who helps out with this. I am interested in hearing your stories. |

| Ok....I haven't read all the latest and greatest on affirmations..BUT I've been doing them for 17 years now, so I think that should count. But I have a question about what the books and tapes teach you about affirmations/manifestions.....is your 11 minutes/working to 30 minutes all on ONE thing...one thing you're trying to create?? I do 30 minutes a day, but I cover my whole life...all areas: physical, spiritual, relationships, emotional, financial and professional. One thing I've learned is that each manifestation needs some emotion and enough time to visualize it. As far as a good, clear manifestation about a "chick"....I'm pretty sure you can visualize just what you want and then create it yourself...come on...I know ya can!!!! (I have a 36-25-35 blond hair blue-eyed beauty in my life. This perfect companion has a good sense of humor and is a fun loving person. She loves the outdoors and we spend quality time together hiking and biking. She makes me laugh and brings great joy to others. She is extremely sensitive to my needs and is very helpful. She is in incredible shape and inspires me to stay in great shape. She is my best friend and confident. We enjoy spending time together. She senses when I am discouraged or frustrated, and demonstrates her endless love by dropping whatever is on her agenda to spend some time with me. She gives me little gifts to show me that ehe is thinking of me and likes to hold hands. She gives me a big hug and kiss every time she departs or when we meet again.) Giggling hysterically....because OBVIOUSLY that is a true role-reversal. Men want different things. I just change HE to SHE to amuse you

| I currently write down what I want to manifest on a 3x5 card and read it everyday then meditate about it. I like the idea of 30 mins set aside for IM and will give that a try. And I too was wondering about manifesting about a love interest. I know someone that I want to be with and I've found that the more I distance myself from them, the more I realise that they are just a reflection of the type of person that I want to be. I'm finding that my feelings are more of admiration than love per se. I have a feeling that they love me as well, but we both have some growing to do. Maybe this is good and we should take our time to know ourselves before we get into anything serious. I think I will make an IM 3x5 card about this |

| I seem to have the most success with IM when I write the intention down, then let it go. I think Shakti Gawain writes in her book 'Creative Visualisation' of a technique where you imagine your intention in a pink bubble, and watch it float off... If I focus on something too specific for too long, it just doesn't feel right for me. But the act of writing the intention down seems to be important - once it's on paper, it's out of the whirlwind of other thoughts in your mind, and the universe knows you mean business!
