I feel so bored with my experience and I would like more excitement and variety and new fun pleasant things to experience.. And I find myself thinking of the same things,.. like recalling the same events and triggering the same feelings.. and I also dont have any new creative ideas.. And I like to draw and paint but I don't often now because I have to have an interesting subject/picture infront of me so I can draw from it when I want to make more realistic art, or have to be feeling inspired by some idea or image I want to convey in a cartoonish or abstacted piece of art ... I am not inspired lately and I dont enjoy a life without inspiration. And making art is important to me, because I feel good after I accomplish an artwork I'm proud of. Any comments would be appreciated... =& |

When I'm feeling bored and stagnant, often I will: a) exercise thoroughly, preferably some kind of intense cardio and then, b) meditate deeply When meditating, I find the most inspiration is derived if I don't try to cease thought, but rather just passively watch with interest the thoughts that gradually appear in my awareness. As you relax your consciousness deeply, skirting the line between waking consciousness and sub-consciousness, you will be in the so called "hypnagogic" state. This is where you will get your inspiration. Just keep being a passive observer and let whatever arises arise and you will get all sorts of crazy, wonderful, creative, inspirational ideas.... Good luck. |

Or alternatively.. follow your excitement.. Think of the most exciting thing you can do in any moment.. and go do it.. and then the next thing and the next thing and on and on.. and it doesn't have to be art.. so don't be strict about.. (if ego messages come up.. like I don't have the money, the time, no transportation, it's cold out, that's silly.. ignore them.. do it to the best of your ability) And remember there are alternative arts out there.. when's the last time you built some macaroni/glue art..?? (yes, like a 5 year old |

I was having some writer's block a few weeks ago. This had been going on for months; I'd been writing in fits and starts; absolutely certain I KNEW what my story was going to be about. So I was sitting in the diner thinking about what I wanted to write and coming up with nothing. Then I saw a woman walk by. I started to describe her and the next thing I knew, I was writing. It wasn't the story I planned or necessarily thought I wanted to write, but I'm writing it now. |

thank y'all for your replies... =]..... I will try the exercise then meditate thing..... And the macaroni art and gingerbread house thing sounds interesting.. and got me thinking more along the lines on fun elementary school crafts which might inspire more ideas.... Recently I had an idea that I wanted to make dolls... little dolls with all kinds of cool outfits, since fashion design inspires me.. i can design my outfits and make then on a smaller scale.. which'll b cute and fun =P... But I don't have NE supplies to make them. I have to take a trip to a craft store.. but more importantly I need money.. which I don't hav NE of cuz I dnt hav a job, n am apprehensiv about getting one, and my mom can not often spare money to giv to me bc the money is needed for important stuff, n I'v learned to deal with almost never getting money. =& ..... I know... that doesnt sound like a fitting thing to type on this forum... I need help...!! =& |

You just need to work on seeing yourself as a powerful and capable creator.. cause you are! Best thing to do is grow little by little.. know that your request is accepted by the universe.. and don't force it to have to come through money or the craft store.. remember too crafts can be turned into a business.. my aunt louise Remember you create your reality.. don't see limitations around you Last edited by themaster; 03-02-2010 at 08:49 PM. |

Thank you Themaster.. you just made me feel positive. I briefly thought about making my craft thing into a business, and I had thought of making and selling earrings before.. because I see myself as capable of being an artsy creative crafty person.. ;p.... But then I was worried about how I was gonna get all the beads and stuff to make em wit'. I've found a thing of earring hooks from a while ago when I had the desire to make earrings.. And also I was worried about not being able to sell my product. Idk how I'd solicit these things. =& ..And before I was thinking about having my mom help me by selling them at her job, cuz that was the only possibility I saw. =& .. But I doubted they would buy them, and I doubted they would like the designs I would make because the predominant age group demographic and such.. =& And I started to think about that a while ago. But now I can use myspace to advertise,... to people around my age. Being able to advertise and display pictures via the internet wasnt an option thenn, that was like mad long ago but I have a camera phone now and currently hav unlimited messaging for whats left of my 30 days.. =& .. =P .... N I didnt even have a computer then, and still dont, but now I can walk to the library where I live now, and i do so often ...Idk..... =& |
