You have a goal, or an intention. But you doubt it. You can see five different reasons why it is unlikely to happen. You can see 10 different ways it could fail. You can hardly see one single plausible way that your intention could successfully manifest. So you permit fear, anxiety and worry to creep in. And you give up on your intention. Actually you are stupid. You do not understand how little you understand of your own circumstances, your own daily life. Based on what you do know, you have deduced that your desired outcome is not possible. But what you do not know is exactly what you do not know. Therefore you do not see the thousands of different ways whereby the universe could make your intention happen. In other words, you see great odds against you, but that is merely what you see. There are many, many other things that you do not see. Next time, be smarter. Be aware, at least, that you are stupid. That will give you enough wisdom to know when to step aside, and just let the universe do its thing. --------------- I write the above, because of the following incident. 1. Yesterday, against the odds, I received a piece of good news from my boss's boss' boss. Everyone congratulated me. 2. Three hours later, I received a nasty surprise from BBB, who told me that the good news was false. He said sorry, sorry, sorry, about 20 times, but that the good news was his mistake, and he was taking it back. And BBB refused to divulge anything about how the mistake occurred. I said "It's fine, really" and slammed the phone down on him. 3. Two hours later, my secretary called my handphone to say that the BBB was calling on the phone, looking for me "urgently". I had just left the office and did not wish to listen to his further apologies. I told my secretary to tell BBB that I could not be contacted. I switched off my handphone. 4. Later that night, I checked my handphone. There was a message from BBB. Another surprise. He said that actually the good news would be true, following a discussion with my boss's boss's boss' boss. He said however that he was "not in a position to reveal anything" to me about what had happened in the last few hours. I can only deduce that BBBB reversed BBB's decision to reverse BBB's own first decision (which, in the first place, was against the odds). But I have no idea why any of these things happened. Summary - once again, I am getting my intention fulfilled .... but no one is going to tell me why or how .... and I haven't a clue myself. |

I don't think it's productive to call myself stupid. Maybe ignorant in a universe of infinite possibilities and very tiny compared to the cosmos, but not stupid. I could just have a big ego though |

taking a leaf out of your book. I'm trying to manifest something VERY big this week and it seems all points in the right direction. Only one devil's advocate trying to influence my husband's and my frame of mind but we choose to go past that, and keep visualising and trusting. I did though, yesterday have a moment of doubt but it was more like "think hard, there's gonna be a way if not this one". Hopefully my few minutes of doubt do not sabotage the whole story. I did SO much about manifesting this and keep at every moment of the day seeing us living this amazing thing. Should work, right?

You have a very long hierarchy at work, and there are quite a bunch of people with strange names above your head, man. Just kidding, whatever happens, happens. I believe that no good can come out from regretting "negative" effects, if they are there, just watch them. If you feel angry against yourself, you feed them. What do you prefer? Daniel. |

| Yep .... We are a global institution. I cover a few countries in one region of the world; my B and my BB cover that entire region; my BBB covers the entire region, plus a wider function within that region and my BBBB, who has never seen me before, is a global head. Covers 70+ countries. |

Anyway, I have been selected to attend a global executive MBA course later this year. As mentioned, I work in a pretty huge organisation which spans 70+ countries and has tens of thousands of employees. Competition to get into the course is pretty tough. This year, only six slots were available for executives from my part of the world (Asia-Pacific). So I've now clinched one of those six slots for myself. Had to compete with a big bunch of eligible candidates from China, India, Japan, Australia, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore etc ..... Next, I shall manifest to top the course worldwide. Somehow this whole process reminds me of the American Idol competition. ------------------- What happened to me earlier is analogous to the Idol judges telling a singer: "Yes, you get to go into the next round" then changing their minds three hours later to say: "No, you are out. You cannot go to the next round." then changing their minds two hours later to say: "Well, actually, you DO get to the next round." and then adding: "We refuse to tell you anything about why we selected you, un-selected you and then selected you again." BTW, I would define stupidity not as a condition but a behavior - to me it is willfully acting as if you know far more than you do. I'm fond of the expression, "Stupid is as stupid does"... Last edited by Wax Frog; 02-19-2010 at 02:22 AM.

Then it was announced that this global executive MBA course would be extended to my global corporate division for the first time. (Ahh, alpha reflection). Then I got nominated. And then there was a long, detailed selection process whereby they interview candidates from around the world (by video conference, if you're not in London) and a selection panel pores over your c.v., your performance appraisal, your talent assessment and other such corporate stuff. Objectively speaking (there's that word again - objective), my chances were not good because for 2009, I received my worst performance appraisal ever (getting a perfectly in-the-middle, average grade) and for talent potential, also received an exactly average grade. Anyway, I went on manifesting for big personal development opportunities. So .... wheeee, I now get to go on the course.

I love your energy even when you are beating yourself up then not beating yourself up then beating yourself up again then not ... But you are, as usual correct. I am working on not giving into doubts when a timeline isn't met. I guess I just need to start thinking more positively long range. Not sure how to avoid this particular problem though. So, I guess I am stupid LOL. |

| Ah – and how wonderful it is to be stupid eh? I could think I am smart and live my life that way. In control, organizing things, figuring things out, setting goals, working hard and struggling to get what I want. I could think that I know the best way to do things, because I'm so smart. Question, doubt, reassess and worry. OR – I can just freely admit my stupidity – defer to the infinite intelligence and organizing power of the universe, keep my eyes on the prize, and let everything flow my way. Hmmmm- I love being stupid |

Anyway, the point is: - lots of things in your life happen, without you ever knowing why or how; - doubts are based on what you know, but remember, there is so much, so much, so much in the universe (or even in your own daily life) that you do not know. - try to bear that in mind, the next time you have doubts. |

I find it really cool that we may all be in the presence of a very successful corporate business man .... From what I've read in all ALG's posts, i can see a trend of manifesting something and then 3 months later, its accomplished and a new thing is on the table. It looks like ALG's heading up the way to greatness. Thinking deeper, we may all be in the presence of very successful people on this site. Could be actors, artists, writers, business people, entrapeures or any number of things. We're the new Illuminati .... well maybe lol. |

Thank you for this post ActingLikeGodot, it has been very inspiring for me. And I also thank you for the strong character you have cultivated as it reflects in many of your posts. Especially this time, your words have been a perfect mirror into showing me where I am really at and what I have to do to get where I want to be. Thanks again.
