In a nutshell, some people recoil from the idea of the LOA being true, because they find it abhorrent to blame a victim for attracting her own fate. As I have pointed out elsewhere, whether an idea is abhorrent is entirely a different matter from whether that idea is true. So those people's logical reasoning is flawed from Step One.

However, the practical difference for those people (not for the children) is that they see that actually no one is blaming the children. Therefore the blaming - the abhorrent aspect - doesn't exist.

And the really practical difference for all LOA practitioners is that when we understand the above, we understand that if we are victims in any way (whether of an abuser; or a disease; or a government policy; or anything else), we claim our own power to solve that problem, not by looking for someone or something to blame, but by taking control of our own minds.
