Default Date Specific Goals

I'm not sure it's a good idea to involve dates when setting goals/making intentions.

I think the goal has to be real to you in the moment, therefore by placing a future date on it's manifestation, seems to undermine the power of focused attention. It will always be something that will occur in the future, which never itself occurs.

I think if you intend something and place every word, emotion and picture of it already achieved, then it will come to you at the perfect time.

In fact isn't it a contradiction to tell yourself you have it now, but then place a future date on it's arrival?

Seems like you're confusing the power.

What do you think??

I use dates and typically use the wording, "on or before February 14th" (for example)
