Law of Attraction vs. "Proper" goal setting?

I was always told when researching the law of attraction that I shouldn't put a time limit on it.

But with goals, I was always told that I had to have a definite deadline, or else it would never happen.

I think it should be possible to make things happen faster using the law of attraction. So, while you can't decide the exact date something will happen, you can make it happen anywhere in the time between now and a date you set.

Am I right?

I think it depends on how having a deadline makes you feel.

Yes, I agree. The problem with attaching a deadline to an intention is that as the time draws closer, you start focusing on the fact that your intention hasn't manifested yet, you don't have what you intended. You may start to worry or get anxious or feel angry. And then the Universe responds by not giving it to you because you are now in a state of resistance and your vibration has shifted.

I think using a deadline with intention-manifestation only works if you can truly detach from the outcome. That's a hard one for a lot of folks.

Yes that sounds right.

The Law of Attraction is like goal setting on steroids. The average person will set a goal for 10 years to make 1 million. The law of Attraction doesn't set the goal at 10 yrs, not even at 10yrs, not even in 10 sec, it sets the goal in that moment, and in the moment you have already achieved the goal. And this results in a lot of mental programming to activate the law of attraction and you will work you ass off to get your goal, harder than if you set it like a normal person.

Theres nothing called normal goal setting. Everything is law of attraction or god.Whatever you name it.

LOL! So, so true. It certainly adds heaps of fuel and is much more fun and exciting than just goal setting. It does allow you to experience what you want right now, internally, as opposed to some time in the future. And then sooner, rather than later, your external reality catches up with your already in place internal manifestation. It's win-win, in that you feel how you want to feel in addition to actually having drawn what you want (which you designed in your imagination) into your physical reality. Enjoy!
