It was the first day moving into my new place. Me and my girlfriend were unpacking and just spending time together. With no correlation to what we were talking about she says "I just got an image of someone busting through the front door and shooting at us." I am not easily scared, this time being no exception, I didn't think much of it. However, it is two months later and with all this talk about the law of attraction lately, I can't help but feel like I am manifesting something negative into my life. Mind you, this doesn't seriously disturb me and i'm not afraid to leave the house, or be in it, in this case. I would just like to get people's opinion on how to change a negative intention into a positive one. Luckily my girlfriend is not a psychic like Erin is... or else I wouldn't go into the desert either |

I think the idea is that you intend NOT to get shot. The way to do that is to focus on the positive and a feeling of health, safety and well-being. If you think, "Oh, man, I really don't want to get shot. I intend to NOT get shot!" I am thinking you are going to be sending some hefty victim vibes into the universe. A flash of vision doesn't attract anything unless you invest in it. Which, BTW, you are doing. It is the investment of attention and emotion into something that feeds it. Also, Abraham/Hicks said something about there only being a stream of good energy out there that you either allow or deny. Bad things (ie. getting shot) stem from disallowing the good into your life. Your best bet is to relax, let the fear go and allow that good stream of energy to flow through your life. THAT'S what will make you bulletproof.

hi, the title of this thread got me thinking about the power of other people's intentions. Sometimes, I feel an unexplained urge to help someone, to a degree that I wouldn't normally go to, and it doesn't really have much correlation with how much free time I have. Sometimes, I start thinking about a person whom I have not talked to or thought of in a long time, and become preoccupied with seeing him/her. Other times, I'm at the right place & right time to help a stranger. It feels as if other people's intentions are affecting my behaviour. But this idea doesn't fit with the model of subject reality? Seems to fit with there being individual intentions independent of me, the observer. P.S. intending death for others does work...it's only a matter of time |

| Hi Alex~ Wow - when does that get fun? Especially if you're not sure why she saw this picture. Gosh, it could be so many things on one hand. But on the other hand...... I guess I look at the world this way right now: There's the little, every day picture of life - then there is the Big picture, the one of expanded understanding which I am still in the process of figuring out, lol! Well, there could be an answer or some peace of mind around this, found in a few things. My suggestions are to read up on 2 themes, if you feel inspired, that could possibly make all the difference in the world. The topics of The Holographic Universe and then definitely Steve Pavlina's blog writings here on Subjective Reality. IMHO they truly go hand in hand. From these perspectives and the law of attraction perspective no one else can intend for you. Not exactly. But the meaning of that has levels. For instance I believe in the power of prayer (thought/feeling/emotion), even for others. But how that all really works and the nature of the construction of the universe may not be designed the way many of us have been taught. This is why I'm pointing you towards readings for you consideration. I hope it helps! |

No one can intend for us? Doesn't anyone else sometimes feel that they are in a certain place, or wanting to see a certain person, because of someone else's intentions? hasn't anyone had the experience of say, not thinking about A, then all of a sudden wanting to see A, calls up A, who says: "I have wanted to see you for a while but I couldn't find your number"? or something similar? i don't know how this fits in the subjective reality model, could someone please explain? |

| Hi EmeraldBaby~~ I think this could certainly be broken down into subjective and objective. One's primary perspective would have a lot to do with how this is seen, IMHO, and also managed. You ask if someone could explain, "...how this fits in the subjective reality model..." I don't think anyone here at stevepavlina.com could explain it better than the man himself: http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/200...ve-reality-qa/ There are also links at the bottom for other articles about this subject. |
