Strong positive emotions that I could use
For months now, I've been referring back and forth to Steve's informative article on How Intentions Manifest. It gives you what you need but I stumbled upon the second paragraph where it states that you must have strong positive emotions (a real desire) for what it is you're intending. My question is what are the various types of strong positive emotions I could use for this. At the moment, happiness is the only positive emotion i have in mind.

Does the thought of whatever you manifest not cause you to feel anything ?
Joy ? Love ? Lust ? It's weird they all feel the same to me ? If you imagine what you want and you dont feel anything then maybe it's not defined enough?
Somewhat related, i had a discussion with a friend of mine today, who at the time is reading "Think and Grow Rich", about the author's idea of redirecting sexual energy (desire to be intimate with another person) to power whatever you want to manifest.
Ill have to read the book again, but as he understood it the idea was to let yourself get aroused, and instead of seeking release let your mind take control, and the focus on whatever you want to achieve. Get a notebook and a pencil and let your subconscious mind work, see what ideas you come up with to achieve your goal.
I thought this was particularly interesting. Everyone whos ever been aroused knows how STRONG sexual energy is, and redirecting towards achieving your goals ought to have some interesting results

I think it's kind of ineffective to slap a positive emotion on like a band-aid. I think better is unconcealing your heart's desire, and allowing yourself to be present to whatever emotion arises out of it.
And how I do that is to ask myself about an intention: "For what purpose do I want that? And THAT, for what purpose?" and so on, what is the higher purpose of each uncovered layer of desire, until I reach the highest possible purpose -- the one that lights me up, the one that makes me sing and dance, the one that hits me like the purpose of life itself.
At that point, positive emotion tends to flow like Niagara Falls.

Well said Angela, I can't agree more. Its really impossible to slap a positive emotion on an intention..I mean its possible however you will not see the results of your intention if you fake it. Allowing pure positive emotion to arise is the only way to earn the manifestation. The universe cannot be fooled.
