| (By the way guys, this is not in regards to my lottery thing, thanks for everyone's concern - I've only bought that one lottery ticket cos of a strange dream and it was only $50) I'm still focusing on money, and of course taking steps to earn it via a new career, and several passive sources of income. Now one quote I read was that your money consciousness is important. (By Dr. Robert Anthony if it matters) I.e he says if you take away all the money from a millionaire with a millionaire mindset, soon enough he will earn it back. If someone with a poor consciousness wins the lottery or something similar, 90% of them (based on research of lottery winners) spend so much that they are back to their old level of money within 2 years, simply because their consciousness cannot handle the wealth. Question is, and the book is unclear on this: What exactly is money consciousness? Can one be said to have money consciousness if he can tell himself - I have a million dollars - and not have any negative internal back talk (regardless of his / her external conditions) ? How do you know if you have a millionaire consciousness? How do you build it? |

| This is like your weight setpoint. Most people have a mindset and a kind of 'body setpoint' that tells them they are SUPPOSED to weigh XXX. They might not really WANT to weigh XXX, but their brain is comfortable there or they secretly think that's what they deserve, blah blah blah. They can have their stomach stapled, find the best diet in the world, exercise it all off, whatever...and within a relatively short time, they will be right back to that weight they started at. I think that when people who have been successful at losing weight say, "It was just the right time. I have tried a hundred times before, but this time I was ready." it indicates that they have changed that internal setpoint. They have come to BELIEVE they should weigh a different weight. It is most likely the same thing with money. If your relationship with money has been defined by problems, until you figure out WHY, you are going to continue to have problems. Most likely, the reasons for this mindset vary from person to person and are rooted in self-esteem and identity. Maybe that's part of why the LOA works so well for so many people. The rule of the LOA tells you that you have to change your feelings to positive vibrations. The largest part of that is reversing the negative thoughts you have about yourself. In the process of doing that, you come to believe that you DESERVE all that good stuff you want, including money. BTW...I would assume the first and most obvious indicator of whether or not you have a millionaire conciousness would be whether or not you have a million dollars or are well on your way there. | thanks that is brilliant; I'm also having weight troubles and was wondering why... I went from massively obese (120kg) down to 95, and can never seem to get to my ideal weight at 85...I guess I am the most comfortable at that weight. How would you suggest letting myself feel I should be amillionaire, or being my ideal weight? Simply affirm that I deserve to be that way? |

| It is a lot like a set point. I relate very differently to money today than I did just a year ago, and this mindset has me feeling that even if I lost everything, including my website, my articles, and my contacts, I'd be back up to this level of income in a year or two. Just give me $100 to start, a PC, and an Internet connection, and the rest is straightforward. I used to think about money in terms of the amount, i.e. how much I had. Now I think of it more in terms of flow -- where is it flowing from/to, how big is the stream, and what kind of impact is it having?

| To feel like a millionaire, surround yourself with images of the desired amount and get past the underlying feeling you may have that it's hard to make a million dollars. I got my online bank account, captured the screenshot and edited it with my desired amount. So now I open it up and there is a picture of my browser window of my bank account with the amount I desire already in my account. I look at often and get really emotionally involved in it, it looks and feels cool to have that much money. Whenever I have a free moment I bring up the image in my mind and other images of what that money can do for me and other people. I also read stories, articles and blogs about people who make money the way I would like to make it if I had to choose a way. I'm not telling the universe how to get it to me, rather, just getting a feeling for making that amount of money. Whatever you surround yourself with, affects your life. Hang out with crooks and you'll go down that road, hang out with drunks and you'll probably become one. If you can't hang out with millionaires, find them online, their stories and articles are everywhere. Millionaire or money consciousness I think is about getting really comfortable and feeling good about the amount you desire. When I think about the amount I desire, I get this emotional charge, at first I had to manufacture it, now it comes naturally. There has never been a time in history when it's been easier for the average person to become a millionaire, just look at the youtube guys, anyone of us could have done that. There's a guy in my city who started a website and turned down $500 million 5 years later (they ipo'd it) you should see the site, nothing overly difficult. Everyone deserves to be financially abundant, especially you HTH Jeff |

| After reading this post and replying to it, I had to teach a couple of riding lessons. I teach people to jump their horses over stuff and how to make their horses jump quietly and just so. Well, one student was having a hard time keeping her horse straight off the second fence in the line and keeping him relaxed We went over all the technical aspects of producing a clean line and were not having much joy. The kid had a grim look on her face, the horse was getting pissed and the lesson was going down the toilet. I realized that the girl had the wrong attitude coming into the line of fences. She was 'going to war'. I explained to her about your post about the Millionaire Mindset and how I had connected it to a Weightloss Mindset. I told her that she needed to have the mindset of somebody who could ride through that line relaxed and on target. I invented the "Professional Rider Mindset". A good professional rider can step on just about any horse and get them to do their job easily and well and without too much fuss (actually, without too much ego here, I do that. But I have never really analyzed it. I just figured it comes from having ridden my whole life and liking horses as animals. I have always thought that I liked them and they liked me). If you see a lot of fireworks, that ISN'T a good professional. That is a cowboy and that is different. We discussed how it was easily with in her abilities, but maybe not within her EXPECTATIONS. She EXPECTED her young horse to have problems, so he did. I talked to her about changing her expectations and what she should expect and how it would feel. I told her to go into it thinking like a Professional Rider, somebody who does this every day. She proceeded to lay down three or four of the most consistent, smooth trips I have ever seen her and that horse produce. I dunno. I have always taught using visualization and positive thinking, but this was different and IT WORKED. When I asked her what was different, she said, "you made me feel like I could do it and it would be easy and fine. So I went in and just did what you said...I expected him to land where I wanted and I didn't fight with him." Long story not that short, I think that's what we have to do for ourselves in every area of our lives that we want to improve. We have to work ourselves into a place where we EXPECT success. Steve is there with setting up lines of income through the using the internet. He has done it before and has confidence that he can do it again. That confidence alone will help him to not back off at the first obstacle and to just look for a way around it. The rest of us don't have that confidence in ourselves, so we take every setback as a sign we can't do it, not that we have to TWEAK the way we are doing it. This all comes back to self-respect and self-worth. I have never met Steve and have read only a few of his blog entries. But I would be willing to bet that he did not lack self-confidence BEFORE he started this website. I think that the LOA works on many levels and the least important is probably the one everybody debates so much, the scientific level. I think that the reason that current teaching of the LOA works is because it is all centered around staying positive and EXPECTING that what you want is attainable. I think that maybe after a period of time of diligently working toward not allowing yourself to get bogged down and keeping your vibration high, you begin to believe in yourself somewhere deep inside your psyche. And once you believe that you can do anything and you deserve anything, you begin to expect just about anything. And once you expect it, you can produce it. That's what I think. |

| I truly believe what everyone previously has said, but I think it comes down to one thing. That one thing is “knowing”. If you surround yourself with pictures, people, books, tapes and every other item you can think of, does it make you rich or popular, or skinny? It even goes beyond faith, because faith implies that there is still doubt. The reason why a millionaire who looses everything is again successful in a very short time, is because they know they can do it. They had done it before, so they know it can be done. Lets look at thelottery. I can show you several people who have won the lottery more than once. (If you need the links, let me know, I just don’t have time now.) A woman in New York won the lottery twice. A man in Georgia, won the lottery once, and in another lottery won a corvette which he wanted. A man in Alabama won the lottery three times. A couple in California, won ten thousand dollars, and then played the next week and won 15 million. Is anyone going to tell me these people are any luckier than you? It is not about luck. It is a knowing that they could win, and WOULD win. The next question you are going to ask, is why didn’t “I” win when I played, or why doesn’t everyone win who plays. The answer is the same, belief. I guarantee they had doubt or the focused on their lack. Check your own thoughts. When you are paying bills, do you thank God or the Universe for the abundances that you have, or do you think, “Where does all this money go, and how can I pay this?” We all do it, but THAT IS THE SECRET TO CREATIING WHATEVER YOU WANT. There is no good and bad in creation, only cause and effect. People who get money and are broke soon after, created exactly what they wanted, lack! Is there any task that you can do, that others think is hard or impossible? Why can you do it? I would challenge you that it is because you believe you can do it. Best wishes!! | I am not sure Judge's method will work for everyone. Every member of my family is an alcoholic. Except me. Even my husband would be an alcoholic if I would let him, but I won't. It is not in thinking you deserve something. It is in KNOWING and EXPECTING that what you deserve you can attain. There are plenty of bitter people out there who deeply feel that they deserve a lot of things. That is part of the reason they are bitter. By god, they deserve it and don't have it. Successful people aren't wasting time worrying about what they deserve. They are just out there getting it. They can, so they do.The rest of us worry about whether we can, so we don't. How in the hell you get to where you don't worry about it any more, I dunno. I think it probably does lie in using the kind of positive self-talk I have been reading about in all these books on the LOA. |
