Isn't Tao the other name for Law of Attraction, its similar to law of attraction. Tao is undifferentiated Tao returns Tao is subtle and quiet Tao is simultaneously dispassionate and nurturing The Tao is like a well: used but never used up. It is like the eternal void: filled with infinite possibilities. It is hidden but always present. I don't know who gave birth to it. It is older than God. yes Tao is Everything Karma IS LoA a few days ago i overheard an Asian woman casually discussing about this with a novice Monk - very interesting: from the little i grasped, though, it MIGHT be that Tao/LoA is linked to the lower planes of consciences only - so a "limited transcendence" ??. i had never thought about it, but it would make sense, since when reaching the Upper Planes of Enlightenment you are supposed to "escape the Karmic Wheel" ironically, would Transcendence lead to Immanence ??. |

I do not feel 'The Tao' equates to 'The Law of Attraction'. However, I do feel it can be argued that an element of the 'Law of Attraction' can be found within Lao Tzu's teachings. There are some similarities in some passages that hint at the idea of a 'Law of Attraction', but I personally feel it's subtly different somehow. The following is from p.48 of Brian Walker's Hua Hu Ching: The Unknown Teachings of Lao Tzu, the Harper Collins 1995 Paperback edition. This is from page 48:
