Here's a little story of an intention being manifested and how the universe choose to go about it...

Every morning I write what I am going to do that day and then what I want the universe to do for me that day (from Abraham-Hicks). It works wonders for me.

So I included in my list wanting to be given or led to some more information on a subject that I have been researching (I felt as thought I had used up all my resources and needed a little push in the right direction).

The day goes on with nothing noticeable happening.

I get one of those free local newspapers in my mail. Take a moment to look through it and put it on the table.

Decide to cook chilli for dinner which the kids don't like, so I cook mac & cheese for them.

They are watching a show in the living room and beg to eat in there while they finish the show. I am a stickler when it comes to eating as a family, but I figure since they are only having mac & cheese, it won't be a big deal for just one night.

Husband comes home from work, sits down at the table to eat his chilli and picks up that newspaper that I had already read. He probably wouldn't have even paid attention to it if the kids weren't eating in the living room and he was bored while eating his chilli.

I notice while he has the newspaper open that he is reading an article that I hadn't seen when I read it (had nothing to do with the original intention). By this point...like always, I had forgotten what I wrote that morning. I LOVE to go back in the evening and check off the things that manifested.

After he finishes, I read that article...for some reason I had missed that page.
I get to the end and notice that the author has a blog and I am curious. I would not have had the time to check out the blog on the computer if the kids weren't still in the living room and I had a big dinner to clean up.

I pull up the blog and am happily surprised that the blog is all about the information I am researching! BINGO!

I laid in bed last night laughing at how it all came together.

Great story..

I have not yet tried this methos of Abraham-Hicks. Will give it a try.

When you give up, that's when it happens.

That's how I came into the world. My parents tried to get pregnant for years and nothing happened. They finally gave up and quit trying and..... Bingo!

isn't that often how love works as well? making an effort may not bring what you want, then when you stop all that effort to just live life - bam!

Man, that's awesome. Can you go into a little detail about this list thing? I'd like to try it. Is it basically a to-do list with two separate parts? You and the Universe?

I can't remember which one of the Abraham-Hicks books it is in, but it's pretty basic.

You just make two lists. Label one "Things I Will Do Today" and the other "Things the Universe Will Do For Me Today". Then make your lists

!

Like I said in the other post, I LOVE going back in the evening and checking off the things on the list that manifested....usually about 90% of the list.

Oh and I always end my list with "This is something better now manifests for me through happiness and harmony." This is from the book Creative Visualization.

Thanks. That's really interesting, I think I'm going to try it out.

I also really enjoy looking back and realizing intentions have manifested. The funny thing about intentions is that they really only DO work when I forget them. It's great!

That's the beautiful thing about getting your intentions right in the morning. You go about your day but your brain is working in the backburner. When opportunity strikes, your brain is ready to take action.

It's great when you get one of those surprises

It is in the book "Ask and it is Given". Do try to read the book as well. According to them, you should try it if you feel you have too much to do or when you want to create your reality less through your actions.
