Default IM for students

I want to know whether the procedure through which I manifest my intention for a certain GPA for this semester in my university is correct...first i take a few deep breaths & count backwards from 10 to 1....then i try to recall positive experiences from the past to put myself in a positive state..then i hear & try to visualize my friends & mom say my GPA..& then I say "I allow myself to get GPA XXX! It is done & so it is!"..the problem i have is that I am an auditory person & I have a difficulty visualizing & so the visualization is not that clear...can Steve or anyone suggest me improvisation & corrections..Thanks in advance!

Don't get too hung up on the techniques, because the techniques can vary a lot.

You can also try visualising yourself studying effectively, concentrating well, understanding your work .... or you can visualise yourself in the exam hall, working happily & confidently on your exam questions as you know the answers well ...

You may try taking a notebook, and writing an account, in the present tense, of the day you received your grades (and of course, in your account, your grades turn out to be the grades you want).

As you are visualizing your success you will find yourself being able to create clearer images with greater detail over time....it will become easier for you.

In your visualization you can also tune into the sounds in your environment described above....the exam hall etc.

It's different for everyone.

But I must say that visualising is important and I find saying the intention as I visualise helps.

I try to do it when I wake and before sleep.

But I'm not convinced you have to religiously be precise with when and where or how.

As long as you are doing it as often as is comfortable.

If you're new to it, start slow, remember you're reprograming the system and that takes some time.

It's not magic, but it is acheivable.

Remember there is only the 'now' and that true intentions must be in the now, not "I'll be happy when I'm successful" you must 'feel' the outcome now.

Feel what it's like to have the goal yours now. Never lose the feeling of acheived the goal, no matter how far away it may seem.

HTH
