i want to be able to form a clear mental picture, as if actually seeing it. i look at a picture but when i close my eyes i cannot remember its details clearly. or better yet, i cannot even FORM CLEAR IMAGES OF THINGS I NEVER SEEN YET, like ideas. i want to use visualization to achive things like becoming flexible and doing stunts requiring movement, but i cannot VISUALIZE MOVEMENTS. like for instance, i cannot effectively visualize myself doing the splits (nor feeling it) are there natural, effective ways (BESIDES painstaking practice) to let you create crystal clear mental images, including FEELING them? is it true that when your drowsy & close to lseep, mental images are very clear & "real"? how can you STAY FOCUSED during that dorwsy state? are there natural things (even using nutrition for example) to clear up your mind & focus, to CONTROL those images while your drowsy? |

You need to be in a relaxed state. When you daydream you are in an altered state of consciousness. That makes it was easier to do in an altered state. It always helps to remember that even in the bible, jesus talks about the kingdom of heaven in man. He's talking about your imagination. Your imagination is more than this culture tells you. Whatever you can imagine is real as soon as you picture it. In the mental plane it manifests instantly. On the physical plane things move slower which is why it seems to take time. Remember these things and it will take any doubt out of your visualization process. |

The next brainwave category in order of frequency is alpha. Where beta represented arousal, alpha represents non-arousal. Alpha brainwaves are slower, and higher in amplitude. Frequency range 9-14 cycles per second. A person who has completed a task and sits down to rest is often in an alpha state. A person who takes time out to reflect or meditate, or who takes a break from a conference and walks in the garden is often in an alpha state. The next state, theta brainwaves, are typically of even greater amplitude and slower frequency. This frequency range is normally between 5 and 8 cycles a second. A person who has taken time off from a task and begins to daydream is often in a theta brainwave state. A person who is driving on a freeway, and discovers that they can't recall the last five miles, is often in a theta state--induced by the process of freeway driving. The final brainwave state is delta. Here the brainwaves are of the greatest amplitude and slowest frequency. They typically center around a range of 1.5-4 cycles per second. They never go down to zero because that would mean that you were brain dead. But, deep dreamless sleep would take you down to the lowest frequency. Typically, 2-3 cycles a second. When we go to bed and read for a few minutes before attempting sleep, we are likely to be in low beta. We put the book down, turn off the lights and close our eyes, our brainwaves will descend from beta, to alpha, to theta and finally, when we fall asleep, to delta. These brainwave states range from deep dreamless sleep to high arousal. Research has shown that although one brainwave state may predominate at any given time, depending on the activity level of the individual, the remaining three brain states are present in the mix of brainwaves at all times. | |

Professionally I help people use "visualization" to realize/accomplish their goals. But....I struggle like you do to get that crystal clear pictures because you're right. How do you visualize an idea or something when you don't know what specifically to visualize. I put myself in "alpha" by using Baroque or very slow classical music. I listen to my recorded lifevision (with the music in the background) and quite honestly, i don't try that hard to visualize it because there's enough details wrapped around what I'm trying to manifest. It works about 75% of the time. In the last year I manifested a 3 week vacation to Australia/New Zealand. My husband and I manifested a client that paid us $580,000 I manifested a website that does everything I said it would 200 new friends I didn't manifest participating in a 206 mile bike ride because of a disease I manifested instead. I didn't manifest the 5 new affiliate relationships, only 3 Crystal Clear visualization is over-rated in my opinion. I tried using it to manifest the spotlight in my eyes as I was giving a keynote speech. I tried it in GREAT DETAIL. Didn't happen. The next year, I tried manifesting it without all the details...just in my Lifevision. GOT IT! Trust me....I experiment with this alot. But I'm sure others have different experiences. |

it can work that way (certain things i done without visualizing worked)...but what about if you need a clear picture of what to manifest? for example, clear smooth skin or a certain desired pigment on a body part, or something about yourself (like what mitsy did) that would need a visual? wouldnt my mind need a picture of its something visual? also i want to manifest things like having better flexibility or being acrobatic. would that need dynamic visualization? i dont know if id be able to do crazy stunts with affirmations or such help please btw i would love to do manifesting in dreams too, if i could control them & not doubt |

A clear mental picture - visualization - is not necessary. Some people just aren't visual. I can't visualize worth a damn - but I can manifest things quite easily. For me it's about feeling it, knowing it... not necessarily having to see it. Everyone is different. If visualization doesn't work for you then just find out what does.

what i meant was that how would i be able to manifest something totally self created such as what mitsy did. another guy elsewhere on a forum visualized a different hue for his eye color. dont things like that need some kind of mental picture? if you did not imagine it clearly, would your mind not be able to manifest it 'correctly'? he wanted lighter brown, but wouldnt an affirmation like 'light brown' be vague for the mind? (im using this as an example). or even more complex visual things without a verbal way to describe them or manifesting doing the splits & such....is an affirmationn & belief enough, or dynamic visualization... the subconscious mainly responds to pictures? if theres a method to be precise in this, please what is it? i need a clear solution to this im stuck i am a visual person mostly...i can remember faces well & other things, but i cannot 'see' it vividly like in a dream Last edited by bmlyeryk; 10-22-2009 at 06:24 PM. |

I don't think it needs mental picture - no. I believe the feeling you have about it is more important. But that's me. You have to find what works for you. By thinking that you must have crystal clear visualization you are creating that limitation for yourself - and causing yourself some frustration as well I think |
