Hi this seems somewhat misleading and ambiguous so I thought I'd reply and say that It seems the emphasis should be placed on the fact that brains are communicating with machines and that the machines then in turn communicate that information with another (human) brain. And that especially, it seems there is a continous connection from one person to the next via use of electrodes (The cables). So, not really anything new I dont think, aside from there being 2 separate human brains hooked up to the same computer instead of the usual 1 (experiments have been going for some time now in this particular direction of research).

Doubt does not serve you.. do you really doubt the idea of telepathy?? happens all the time.. just cause we don't have a scientific rigorous test doesn't prove it doesn't.. your just playing the game of disbelief and it ain't true.. doesn't serve you, doesn't really server others either..

Just watched the video, but that doesn't seem to be what they're doing.

They're communicating with the power of thought, sure, but also with a lot of help from technology and sensors on the scalp. It's simply working with the electric activity reading from the mind.
It's simply an experiment in what you can do with EEG information. So this experiment has nothing to do with telepathy.

As far as I know, telepathy can be tested quite easily. You put two test subject in different rooms with a controller. In one room the controller decides what information to send and his subject attempts to send that information to the other subject. In the second room, the subject tries to pick up the information and tell the controller wich writes it down. Double blind, the subjects don't know what information is gonna be sent and neither does the controller in the receiving room.

This has probably been tested many times. I think I have seen something about it where they say that the results in these tests were statistically significant, pointing towards the existence of telepathy. The receiver didn't just output random information, they were more right than a random result would be. The statistics were better than for instance the statistics needed to prove a new medicine is effective. Despite this the scientific community dismissed this evidence saying that the results were not significant enough.

I think it's good to be cautious, and I try to be but I also try to leave myself open to possibilities as well.
