Greetings All, I recently got the book "your Soul's Plan" by Robert Schwartz. After reading this ( I have not completed it yet), I am a little confused about what destiny means? If law of attraction is true then we determine whatever happens to us. If everything is predestined we don't have much control over the sequence of events in our lives. I feel there must a common ground between this but can't seem to put my finger on it. Maybe not... Can anyone help me out here? Thanks a lot in advance, Bob |

I actually read that book and thought it was really interesting. I actually had thought of this before, because I been trying to incorporate the LOA but was confused because of the books that I have read saying our lives are already planned. The way I see it is that we choose like a certain theme in our lives. Kind of like when we choose a subjects when it comes to learning. I believe that they're some things already pre-planned before we come here, and the other half is made by our will. In the book it said that some things are not planned, one story about this persons past incarnation. It said that his death was not planned but the soul of the body couldn't bear the pain of the incarnations body and decided it was best to go back home.

i think this "preplanned" destiny came from religions, the belief in this so-called "God" that created evrything (christinaity). you cannot have both predeterminism and free will. its either one or the other. i choose LOA you know how old beliefs stem from being "taught' things about yourself & others come from early childhood and earlier too? well those beliefs carry on and attract certain things to you the same way, until you chnage them if a child believes they'reunworthy or did not get treated right, they will still attract what they think unconsciously, LOA doesnt only apply to older people Last edited by bmlyeryk; 10-16-2009 at 12:24 PM. |

yeah i dont believe in a soul that predermines you. things such as prenatal and birth traumas happen that shape the babies' brain & perception of themself & life. what the mom feels, the baby feels. it starts a viscious cycle in life until they choose to break it. nothing to do with a "soul" that chooses things sorry im just annoyed with all the New Age theories |
