Default Essence of life

Does this Sum up everything about LOA,Hicks, & Manifestation and the ilk !

So basically, to create the life of your dreams all you must do is feel good at all times irrespective of the circumstances and conditions, and you will attract the perfect life for you!

I think that seems it . . . Particularly since most people identify material desires because they believe that those desires will bring them happiness.

Although, it does make sense to say that LOA is a little more than "being happy makes you happy," because there's these weird uncanny circumstances which also arise with these focuses . . . That kind of thing seems a little harder for so many people to swallow, heh.

That is basically it. Feeling good is how we, in our physical form, interpret connection with source energy. And source is always offering to you everything you ask for vibrationally, through desire, whether it be conscious or unconscious.

You desire something >> Source offers it vibrationally >> You allow it, by expecting it to show up.

Your belief (level of allowance) needs to be compatible with your desire (the amount of energy you have summoned through attention) for manifestation to occur with ease.

When you are not resisting (which we interpret as feeling good), you allow the perfect manifestation of your own frequency resonance vibration, or soul pattern. You become the perfect "fit" for your "niche" in life.

Not resisting is the most important part. If you want to make any changes in your life or attract something different, you must first unconditionally accept and understand what it is you want to change. Only when you GIVE IN to the fact that there are greater forces at work in your life, ACCEPT your current conditions for what they are, and STOP RESISTING your circumstances can any significant change take place. To put it in perspective, its said that when a yogi attains spiritual enlightenment and breaks open his or her head into the seventh chakra and beyond, they have completely freed their soul from its material-world bonds and re-awaken as a servant to humanity.

No matter what the universe throws at me, however strange or dire it may be, I keep a smile on my face because I know, with every nature of my being, that I have the capacity to change and create the life of my dreams. And so I am. You can too!

I think a slightly more accurate way of putting it would be, "To create the life of your dreams you must reach for the best possible feeling, given the circumstances," rather than "You must feel good at all times, regardless of the circumstances."

Because let's face it; we're all going to experience grief and loss when loved ones die, or sadness when good friends move away. We all experience events and situations that appear to be really awful (losing a job unexpectedly, a natural disaster, a sudden financial setback, illness, etc.). So I think it is unreasonable to expect people to feel good at all times--sometimes, not feeling good is perfectly appropriate.

However, that doesn't mean you can't reach for a better feeling, and make a habit of going for the best feeling you can. It's okay to feel negative emotions, but you don't want to stay stuck in them. Abraham frequently discusses this, using the example of a seminar participant who suffered from severe arthritis. Maybe she couldn't always be in a state of joy and bliss because of her physical pain, but she didn't need to stay trapped in despair, either--if she could at least find it in herself to feel hopeful, that was good enough.

There is a pervasive idea around LoA circles that "positive thinking" means that you must be happy all the time, and always think positive thoughts, and avoid anything remotely negative. It's a beginner's mistake, and most people who get into this stuff run up against it. But a mask of false cheer, and suppression of one's negative feelings, doesn't work. "What you resist, persists," after all.

However, if you can stop and be fully aware of how you feel at any given moment, you can choose to shift your feelings into a more positive direction. If you can shift rage up to mere impatience and irritation, you're moving in the right direction. Maybe a little bit later you can release your irritation and reach for contentment, or find something else in your life that will allow you to feel optimistic, or happy, and shift your focus to that. But the point is to reach for the best feeling you can, and make it a habit to do so.

And when bad things happen, you do the same thing--keep reaching for a better feeling, and keep reaching for a better way of looking at the situation. Look for what the experience has to teach you. Many people who get into the LoA seem to feel betrayed when they still have to deal with crises, unexpected expenses, or other unpleasantries. They see what is happening as "bad," wonder what they did to attract something so awful, and often decide that the LoA doesn't work, because if it did their life would go smoothly.

But if you can ask yourself, "What might I learn from this situation? What strengths might I develop by rising to this challenge? What old patterns of thought and belief is this situation telling me I need to shed?"--that changes everything. There's a huge difference between seeing a crisis as an unfair punishment and seeing it as an opportunity for rapid growth. The first point of view sees the situation as negative, and never rises above it. The second point of view is reaching for the better feeling, and will always rise above it.
