Default Hi, newbie here

"You won't grow very much as a human being if you spend your life lurking in the shadows. This is a very friendly and supportive place, so if you're feeling timid or shy, then be afraid and do it anyway. Break the ice by telling us how you found this place, what your interests are, and how your parents messed you up. "

Hahahaha! I like the sense of humor here.

Good morning everyone...

How I found this place...I was looking at a post: Now-For-You Forum :: View topic - Integration of LOA,Present Moment and The Work that mentioned LOA.

and called up LOA to see what it was...got a great list of definitions:

Lover of animals
Linear optical amplifier
List of Acronyms
etc.
Law of attraction (a lightbulb moment) - and called up forums and here you are.

Interests - they change...right now, it is to find out a little more about your ideas on the law of attraction. I'll ask the question in a separate post...

How my parents messed me up - lol. Now that depends on how you look at it, right? Being "messed up" can be the perfect opportunity for self discovery and a life time of humor regarding the human condition.

Thank you, Steve, for creating the space for discussions on various topics to take place.

Default Hello!

---
Hi lightdancing. Welcome!

Not everyone who posts here is “friendly” and supportive of LOA’ers and LOA ideas. But I’m sure you’ll be able at spot and weed out what’s not helpful to you and what’s not supportive of what you’re seeking to explore.

Yes, LOA does enhance the “mindfulness” (“precensing”) approach (& vice versa)…

Re: what you wrote:
That’s a great way to look at your past (the “messed up” parts)… and that shift in focus (or viewpoint) is part of what LOA is about.
For me, the “trauma” of adolescence is what led me, at an early age, to the inner work and the LOA principles and mindset which liberated me from the pain of my youth and brought me to the joy, fulfillment and manifesting-fun which I’ve been enjoying for years!

Happy journey!
