The real secret behind LoA - absolutely shocking!

I note with wry amusement that my attempt to explain the source of truth/life/love as spirit which flows through each and every one of us has been met with some criticism from right-wing camps at both ends of the spectrum: from both hard-line Christians/fundamentalists and hard-line, atheistic LoA believers.

Both mindsets are exactly the same:

I know the truth.
How dare you offer a different explanation and threaten my 'sacred cow'.
You must be corrected.
You must be disabused of this false belief.
You are wrong.

I am grateful to members of this forum such as ALG, Angela, Anagogy and others who have the wisdom, understanding and courage to challenge these extremes.

I believe there is one source of life, one spirit and one flow. The analogy of the river often used in Ask and It is Given is a good one. The river is Source (or if you prefer- God, Allah, All-that-is, Universal Mind), but unlike a river, it has no beginning and no end. When we use our will to unite with the flow, we are happy and fulfilled. When we are one with the flow, our heartfelt desires are manifested.

Our true will or desire is to be one with Source, to be one in spirit.

Problems and suffering only occur when we battle against the flow, or create our own muddy, little backwaters, when we attempt to pinch off the flow. Nothing can stop the flow however. Our attempts to stop it or create a counterfeit one are ultimately futile.

That river just keeps on flowing. It is spirit. It is life. It is who we truly are.

But Satan's statement (and Esterham's) was made without Spiritual Authority. At the time, Satan was tempting Eve into the fall. At the time there was "no death". It was only after the covenent was broken that there became a need for Eternal Life.

How about Daniel, Elijah and Moses? Did they all die permanently too? What about every other human being who died before Jesus arrived on the scene?

Tee Hee You forgot Lazarus. All the above devine intervention. (except Moses, He died and was what call "grave yard dead")

As for old testament spirits, I believe God had a set of laws in Leviticus that called for Burned offerings and blood sacrifices. (The blood of the lamb) Of course Christ now takes the place of the lamb. (whoop, says PETA)

Jesus said there are two deaths. The physical death we celibrate at funerals and the "Spiritual Death" which is something I hope never to witness let alone be a part of.

And I wanted to say to Cantando: "I'm not saying I'm right and the other side is wrong. I'm saying that my belief in Christianity is a choice. It's right for me. When it comes to matters of faith, there is no scientific evidence to prove who's right and who's wrong. Although there is a recorded history that you can choose to accept or reject. If I'm wrong Oh well.

But If I'm right......
