hi folks, i have been mostly lurking in this category, only made my first post to it today. so far i am seeing several things that match up with the second version of the movie on this law, The Secret. i am wondering if most folks here are only focused on using the Law of Attraction for financial abundance... or if, those who use the Law for financial success, like to attract beneficial experiences in other realms of your life. so what would you say is your priority for using this law, and how much difference is there between the efforts you put into attractions for that main priority, when compared with the efforts you put into attractions for other areas?

My priority is spiritual growth. Physical reality is just the place where I get to investigate, explore and practise my spirituality. If you like, you could say that reality is a spiritual gym, where I do my exercises everyday. Spiritual growth means lots of different things to me, but perhaps a simple way to put it is that it's about evolving my consciousness. That means I seek growth in areas such as these: (1) becoming more mindful of my thoughts and emotions; (2) gaining the freedom to consciously choose my own responses, rather than be driven by automatic, conditioned reactions; (3) becoming more peaceful, loving, wise, happy, kind .... (as opposed to emotions such as anger, impatience, fear and anxiety); (4) understanding more about how reality is essentially a function of my own mind. Every manifestation exercise (whether you are manifesting for money, or a new dog, or a best friend, or world peace) is an opportunity to practise (1) to (4) above. |

This is a normal thing to want security first to be able to grow after. If you look at Maslow's hierarchy of needs it is obvious that this is what we strive for first. ![]() I personally have my priorities shifting form time to time depending on my health unfortunately but as Dalai Lama would put it we all just want to be happy and satisfied but choose a different "method" to a achieve it. So here it goes an abstract: 1. happy and satisfied (peace, love, prosperity... and yes security and financial freedom) 2. healthy (at this moment curing my back) 3. interesting and positive life from which I can learn and grow (had enough negative developments for a few life times around me - wars, suffering...) |

| so what would you say is your priority for using this law, and how much difference is there between the efforts you put into attractions for that main priority, when compared with the efforts you put into attractions for other areas? I'm not that interested in finances.. I mean I have a lot of money already.. (not huge.. just comfortable My priorities are happiness and a idea I relabeled yesterday "Shaman" that it's, that's all.. I have been working on the idea of "shaman" (or EGO'ing) since 2003 you can see that since I still don't have it; I'm putting the pieces together.. it seems to me that at present I have most of the rules of reality (not all).. and now I'm working on the "permission slip" portion of allowing myself to implement it or belief portion.. but being a "shaman" is no easy task when others have not shown you examples of it being done within your reality (and even this can be a belief) and it may also not be easy given how restrictive a limitation we in already |

@marinik: thanks for sharing your present moment priorities. i am aware of how Maslow's hierarchy comes into this work. i also wish i had mentioned in the OP that i am already pretty familiar with the LoA. @Acting Like Godot: thanks to you and the others who have posted so far, for sharing some priorities that, i will admit, i find to be pleasantly surprising. i suppose i made the mistake of focusing on quantity instead of quality... but at least i now choose to own that mis-guided thinking here. | |
