As every good Christian knows, it is in fact a powerful instrument of dark Satanic forces plotting the downfall of human society! Did you not read Smart Alx's posts!!

It's true, just because you do not accept the resolution to your multiple winner problem does not invalidate the fact that it's solved. Physicists invented a completely unnecessary part of quantum m. to ensure there was only ONE WORLD - a law of physics that says that parts of the wavefunction spontaneously disappear when decoherence prevents us from seeing them any more. If such a law really existed, it would be the only non-linear, non-unitary, non-local, non-CPT-symmetric, acausal, phenomenon in all of physics. Many worlds fixes this and is becoming the obvious solution according to science. Now that fundamentalism is part of the debate any chance for logic and truth have crossed the event horizon. I don't think it's possible to reconcile LOA with xian Fundamentalism. What's scary is if this kind of debate happened 300 years ago Christians would be killing anyone who suddenly cured them self from a terminal illness or went from poor to rich in a short time. Kill the LOA devil worshipers!! Last edited by joelr; 10-07-2009 at 02:03 AM. |

Anyone who is genuinely interested in understanding this topic should, by now, know of the research by Thomas Rosenbaum and S Ghosh, published in 2003 in one of the world's top scientific journals, Nature.

Energies in the Universe constantly interact and work together. Similar vibrations of energy do not attract one other but they are able to stay and work together due to their compatibility in vibrations and functions. To get what we want and be able to keep them, we would also have to work with them after gaining them, otherwise incompatibility would set in and we would soon be separated from them. A good popular example is the relationship partners who stop 'working together' after getting what they want. They stop putting effort into maintaining their working compatibility after marriage, and their partnership soon falls apart. Our states of energy vibration and functions manifests from our level of awareness, understanding and emotions. Energy in the Universe is constantly moving and changing. To get the things that *we want to work with*, we would therefore have to move, change and align accordingly to the changing energy vibrations of what we want in their own time, place, state and functions. Putting effort in being able to Work together with the things/people/state/place of what we want and we would be more likely to be able to get(work with) them. This is the constant alignment work that goes into the search for real happiness. Wishful thinking alone just won't do the trick. The material reality and souls are part of each another, as part of the Whole. What exists in reality for a soul to experience was readily prepared by Higher Intelligence(including the soul's) as a construct for the soul's experience. This means the conscious self does not need to intend anything in reality for manifestations, the suitable manifestations would have been prepared even before the conscious self thinks and asks for them. But it is up to the self to align and experience such manifestations or to reject them from one's reality. There are clues from the soul vibration that can give the conscious self glimpses to the qualities of experiences that would be in store for it. Many people often mistook what they heard/intuited/felt from their soul vibration that synchronized to an occurred experience as something they worked to intend-- when in fact, the experiences were already prepared for them even before they thought to ask. Here is a relevant Facebook group-- I DO NOT Believe in The Law of Attraction BUT in The Law of Alignment! | Facebook |

Is LoA 'true' though? If it is, I'd have to say that it should be the same for 'everyone' involved, both believers and doubters (i suppose this goes back to the confirmation bias that was mentioned quite heavily early on). But what if it were 'not' true? Given all the references to studies of LoA, it seems to me that even if what was purported as LoA by people was not the actual mechanism working in the universe, that all these things happen nonetheless strongly supports the idea that something that is similar, or at least produces similar results, to what LoA is claimed to be actually exists, even if it might be something altogether different. Now, what does this mean? Well, to me, these two answers to LoA being true or false are similar enough for me to brush the question off as one where the actual answer, while probably useful to know, doesn't really do a thing to change the actual laws of the universe, only what we choose to do with these laws (of course, as told in all the texts mentioned previously what we 'do' should be something 'good', whatever that means...). getting to this answer, as what this thread seems to attempt, is a bit of a fun excursion though, so feel free to continue with the scheduled program of questioning. In regards to the actual getting to the answer though, I really don't have anything significant to add because as explained above, the answer isn't really that important. Nonetheless, I do tend to use some of the concepts presented by LoA in my life anyway because empirically, for whatever reason, it has been useful. It's kinda like eating healthy foods without knowing exactly how it works to improve your health (and if you think about that with regards to ALG's phrase of empty space and subatomic particles popping in and out of existence, I think you'll get what I mean here (if not, just ask, but I won't guarantee I can explain it to your liking

Besides that the macroscopic world sees the effects of quantum rules everywhere, including the computer screen you are staring at right now. Not to mention the multiple universes you just split into when making a choice of who to respond to next. All possibilities will be realized in the multi-verse.
