Do beliefs create reality or filter All-That-Is? Some people use "beliefs filter perception" but I am not sure if they use it in the same way that "beliefs filter All-That-Is". My question is,do my beliefs create a really easy life, with as little problems as possible or does it just filter my perception and although I had many bad experiences I feel like life is easy for me? My other question is,do beliefs create reality or filter All-That-Is?I mean,do my beliefs create something from belief or from nothing,or everything already exist and my beliefs filter out all that exists outside of my belief and just brings the thing I believed, to my senses? Nothing exists BUT experience, therefore if your "perception" filtered All That Is in such a way that your experienced a given event in a positive way, then your life really is easy and carefree. That's my point, experience is all that exists. There are no "objects" only the *experience* of objects. Capish? If you experience things a certain way, that experience IS your reality. Quote:
Instead, there is a "plenum" of actuality, which is more akin to your latter idea that everything already exists. In oneness, or unity, there is no difference between potential and kinetic, no difference between unreal and real. The distinction doesn't exist in unity, because unity is not just "All That Is", it is "All That Could Be". We, as human forms of consciousness, are like "Some Of All That Is", with the potential to rejoin "All That Is". But you are correct, all that you see and experience is a long causal chain of limitations (or beliefs) imposed on the Absolute (the unconditioned unlimited essence that is the basis of your existence). This gives birth to duality and relativity and all the wondrous limitations you experience right now in your dense physical body with all its fascinating machinery. That's not sarcasm by the way, it really is quite a breath-taking array of structures, patterns, and forms. Last edited by Anagogy; 09-12-2009 at 12:49 AM.

I think you choose if you perceive a belief filtered reality or a reality created by your beliefs alone. I don't know about you but personally I think it is a lot more enjoyable if you choose to believe that your beliefs create your whole experience.

Those are the kind of questions I like. I think our beliefs ultimately shape our lives and if you could simply deprogram and then re-program with proved beliefs you could live a trouble-free life. On the other hand, if you have the belief, "when bad things happen, i will make the best of them", bad things will still happen but you may not experience them as bad. Ultimately we are after a 'feeling' with all of our pursuits and that being the case we may be able to deduce that our 'programs' or beliefs that we have running are also designed to produce a feeling, not a specific event or outcome. If we believe "life's not fair" we will be confronted with scenarios that leave us feeling "life's not fair"... even if in reality it was/is. As for the last question, I think it's both, I think we have the ability to create a life of our own choosing but when we are out and about in the world we have to interact with other peoples creations which will be different from ours and to maintain continuity in 'our' world we simply filter out or totally avoid the things that don't exist in it. Some people have a powerful enough presence that they actually alter the environment that they are occupying. A simple example is it's like when you have a car that gives you problems, you try and demonstrate that problem to someone else they and it's fine, no problems. When I worked in a hospital there were certain Dr's I avoided working with at all costs because If it could go wrong it would on their watch, while others never seemed to have a bad day. In hindsight it was all about their attitude.
