I record my LifeVision to Baroque music not because I especially love that genre of music, but because Baroque has certain properties and characteristics that put me in Alpha. It's the meditative state. Of course I'm complete AWAKE...I'm even doing things. But I'm relaxed, I'm more conscious...more AWARE. So if you struggle with getting there...try listening to Baroque (it's the Mozart Effect) |

Well, I suggest to all my clients to use Baroque but then I sheepishly have to admit that I don't use it anymore but instead am currently using 5-6 songs from Steve Halpern's Accelerated Learning CD. (Not all songs work for my LifeVision because some are too fast and they agitate me and a couple have a funky cascading tinkling sound that would drive me crazy behind my LV) The ONLY reason I'm not currently using Baroque is simply the fact that I've used it for over 20 years now and frankly I'm BORED! Here's more about it: Steven Halpern – Music For Accelerated Learning « Quiet Music For regular Baroque...doesn't matter as long as it's the SLOW movements. Think Pachelbel's Canon in D....perfect example. YouTube - Pachelbel's canon in D Major - Very nice version I have a new resource that I'll post soon (can't find it right now) |

I'm certainly NOT going to give you the scientific explanation...I'll save that for someone else. But in the meditative state, you are certainly awake! You're just relaxed and your mind is definitely THINKING, but it's not racing, and it's fairly "still". It's the perfect state for your subconscious to be open to receiving new information. It has an affect on your conscious mind as well. So in the background as this music is playing, it's sinking deeper into your subconscious than it would if there was no music or rock music. So obviously you can be studying, or reading, or visualizing your dreams with very conscious thoughts. Why is it that we forget some things so quickly and easily and yet other things are deeply embedded into our minds? The simple answer is that it was imprinted more deeply. When you're in alpha....that happens much more easily. Baroque music is the easiest and best way I know for getting into that state. |

| From my perspective, it is not possible to stop thinking, as I define thoughts as the shape of your awareness and any point in time. However, it is possible to offer thoughts that don't put you in resistance with what is. This is what meditation is to me, the releasing of resistance. You focus on things that make you happy, that make you smile. Or you can just let go and focus on the thought/feeling of no responsibility, carefree existence, and that everything is being taken care of in its own good time.
