Default Too many priorities...

Now that I've had a couple of good manifesting experiences and have developed an albeit beginning, but fairly good, way of getting in the alpha state to do it, I have alllllllllllllllllllllllllllll sorts of things I want to manifest and I'm getting all mixed up.

Should I limit my intentions? or can one have an infinite number?

I think you should have as many as has you feeling good.

Is it possible that two or more of your "priorities" have the same higher purpose in common? Or does each intention have a different higher purpose?

I think only you can know. If you stop manifesting, try cutting back to a couple main things. Maybe you spread your intentions too thin.

I am rarely actively trying to manifest more than a handful of things/experiences/happenings.

I have several things I want to manifest that sort of glob under one big umbrella, but that umbrella becomes so big that the intention comes out really...oh, global, vague, nonspecific...too big for a beginner manifester like me. I know, that's not showing too much faith, but I'm inching up the Hicks' ladder right now.

I've had a bunch but decided to experiment more with the just "feeling good" part of things. This is kind of inspired by the Abraham Hicks teachings that your desires are the setting forth of intentions, you know? So, I started focusing on just feeling good and haven't really visualized my wants or embellished them or anything and just in a couple days a lot of my body-related ones have popped up or are showing signs of popping up. There's also some social/romance things that are kinda hinting (like, at the "is this just a coincidence?" stage.) So I think I'll pursue this emphasis for several weeks and see how it pans out on financial levels, you know. And when my focus is just fun, it seems like extra entertaining little synchs just show up.

How good are you at detaching from your intentions?

If you can set up an intention and detach from it, then you can have an infinite number of them.

Why? Because they don't take up any thoughtspace at all.

My mind is not that disciplined, so i limit my "big" intentions because i want to add power and shape them as i please; I want to be able to calmly think about them and modify them as i want, but i only have so much thoughtspace.

Also: If you are the kind of person that worries and fears that their intentions are not working, then generally it is a good ideia to have several intentions operating at once because this prevents you from obsessing about them too much(also known as "is it working? is it not working? is it working? damn it, it isn't working! why, why!") Having several intentions helps mitigate this effect.

(By the way, i have never seen the word thoughtspace used, but i think about it all the time. I like to calculate approximately how much thoughtspace an intention or a recurring pattern occupies, so it's a useful word .)

I officially coin the word "thoughtspace".

Zas, I like that very much. It fits nicely with Angela's piano-tuning and that has worked the best for me so far. You'd think I'd remember it! I get caught up in the wording of the intention - did I word that right? did I account for everything? - when I know deep down inside what I want. I suppose if I manifest something weird because I wasn't more specific, I can go back and tinker, but yes, I think for me, at least, the feel-good, the fun, the vibrations keep me from over-thinking the thing. It uses parts of me that I can't access if I get too wordy.

The reason I asked about shared higher purposes among your many intentions is that you may want to focus on an inspiring higher purpose, rather than the ways they're expressed. Manifesting a way of being is not "bigger" or "harder" than manifesting a small material object or itty bitty synchronicity. (wow, that was a tiny poem, wasn't it? Itty Bitty Synchroni-City.)

In my experience, manifesting ways of being (higher purposes) is the very simplest thing to do, and the fastest, too! It can be really rewarding, because your unconscious mind may have some interesting ideas for expressing higher purpose than your conscious mind hasn't drummed up, and the surprise can be delightful and open up whole new pathways for having you totally head-over-heels in love with your life. Know what I mean?

A blue feather, or a parking spot, or an extra $20 bill, little things like these are fun, but they only represent your heart's desire. It makes me laugh how excited people are when they spend a month trying to manifest an IBS when they could just go ahead and create the inspiring way of being represented by it RIGHT NOW, and then sit back and watch amazing IBS's and "bigger" material symbols show up like pirate's treasure, as easy and effortless expressions of their heart's desire! Why wait?

I love the word "thoughtspace". And I deem you the creator.

Smile Blue feathers

I find blue jay feathers almost everyday! I consider the bird to be my animal totem and these wonderful creatures always appear when I'm trying to make my mind up about something.

Wait....I'm still pondering this. Have been for a few days now...

How do I manifest something that I haven't drummed up....just say "I intend to have a higher purpose", feel some good vibrations and leave it at that? Just sit back? (It still seems like I should be *doing* something!)

What if I don't recognize the higher purpose when it happens? I guess I should send out the message "...please bite me in the butt upon arrival..."?

I can't really imagine what my higher purpose could be (unfortunately) - maybe that's a good thing so I don't mess with the intention too much??

That's a great word.

It describes something which we mind explorers all know about, but, until now, have not had a word for.

This should work well, for intentions that do not involve dogs or other animals.

I think I wasn't too clear... I meant that you can take a look at your mundane, material desires and ask yourself what the higher purpose is of each of those desires. Do many of your mundane desires have the same higher purpose? Go ahead and manifest the higher purpose, rather than the material representations of it.

Then as things start to show up in your life, notice how it lines up with the higher purpose you deliberately manifested -- possibly in surprising ways that will amuse and delight you, and may fill the bill even better than your original mundane desires would.

I was about to list some examples, but I think it would make more sense to look at YOUR examples. What are a few of the things you'd like to manifest? Just off the top of your head -- what 3 or 4 things first comes to mind?

The things that come off the top of my head basically equate to a very general "living a better life". Geez, I sound like Oprah. My life is pretty good now but I'd like it minus the difficult stuff from the last couple of years.

I have to admit a fear here. When I was in high school, I read a book about a girl who prayed for a more meaningful life and she ended up a paraplegic. I hope that's not what my deep unconscious would have in mind.

I laugh, heh heh, but seriously I think it is a fear for putting that out there - living a better life, my best life, whatever - that some disastrous even would happen without some limits defined by me.

yah yah, I realize that I can't *know* if a disastrous event wouldn't indeed make my life better - I can't *know* that my "better" life might be one with tons of good stuff - it was just this stupid book I read that has stuck with me all this time. Maybe it's my Protestant upbringing. It's a feeling I have that if I want to grow, all the fun stuff will be taken away to push a point.

I just really really really don't want to invite disaster into my life!!!

that's fine, just laugh at that. So if you didn't have disaster, what WOULD you have? What would your ideal life look like, sound like, feel like?
