| Hi there, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post! I have been trying to manifest a new job for the last few months. As a first step, I started meeting headhunters and applying for openings. Suddenly started getting many calls for interviews which was a good sign. I thought I did well and got along well and had great chemistry with the interviewers in the first round of screening interviews. They even said that they will definitely put me through the next round. But now, after a long wait, the decision makers dont want to see me for the second round. This has now happened with me with 4 different companies. There seems to be a pattern which is developing which is frustrating me. I have gratitude for 'manifesting' the first round of interviews but the lack of further progress is demotivating. Steve talks about 'polarities'. For me the driving force to seek a new job is a positive polarity-one of making a strong contribution at a bigger theater/ organization. Where am I going wrong in my goal to manifest a new job quickly? Advice on bringing clarity will be highly appreciated. |

Hi Soorya, Welcome to the forum I've read several articles on manifesting jobs/ careers and one idea i've taken from them is to visualize the reality of your intention. Its probably much easier said then done if your not a visual person but it helps to clearly see yourself in your desired circumstance. This means visualize yourself working in that bigger organization doing work that complies with what your looking for. In the visualization include all feelings of having that new job and receiving the appropriate income. Notice how you feel when are working at this new job and those feelings generated by the job experience will soon appear in your life. Hope this helps if any.

Thanks dyakub for the response. Yes, I have tried visualization and agree that its useful. I guess need to work on that a bit more! One thing though which happens after visualization is that I tend to think about the desired outcomes/feelings most of the time which tends to make me more attached to the desired result. And I tend to live more in the future instead of enjoying the present. And if the result is not achieved quickly, I get frustrated. I guess this is what 'm going through just now as well. This makes me bring up the story/pattern of my life. In the past, this fear of failure and the resulting frustration has stopped me from visualizing big things. Visualizing the achievement of your dreams, at the same time not getting frustrated if the results take time to manifest is the key....isn't it, or am I missing something here? |

Hi Soorya, I was listening to Abraham today on Hay House radio and they re-iterated something that turned a light bulb on in my head. All of my best manifestations happened when I knew without a doubt I’d get it. I had clear focus, desire and intent. Abraham mentioned when you come to a decision on what you want (because it feels good) most people will revisit that same decision later and doubt themselves, therefore creating resistance. You’re not in alignment anymore. When you’re in alignment you’ll see signs that what you want is coming your way. I know it’s difficult to keep the faith, but, that is your one and only job right now. Every time you feel frustration try reaching for a better thought…. “My ideal job is on the way”…… “, “I’ll be laughing about this period of my life next year”…… “I love that I have great friends”…… “ etc. Try it for 1 week and see if there is any difference. Happy manifesting |

Job hunting is like sales, you need to build a pipeline. The 4 jobs you didn't get were just other prospects in the pipeline. This is where you are going off the beam with manifesting. You are focusing on the 4 job interviews that didn't go well. So that is your point of attraction. Your focus needs to be on the present and future job interviews. And you must visualize positive outcomes. Yes, you want to manifest "quickly", but you can't ignore the process. You must stay positive. And the best way to do that is to focus on the process, finding new interviews, sending resumes, talking to prospects, going on interviews. If you successfully sent a resume, that is a positive outcome. Eventually, you will build an escrow of good feelings, this will vibrate through on interviews, and you will land a job. |

I agree that you need to absolutely believe you will get it. I also do alot of internal work and have found that helps with manifesting. Check and see if you have any feelings of "not deserving" or need to punish yourself. You need to work through these feelings, otherwise you will repel what you want to attract.

Thanks jacare and rawxstasy. jacare-being in sales and marketing profession myself, I agree with you. I need to move an and focus on building more 'prospects.' rawxstasy- I used to have 'not deserving' feelings in the past but worked on them and believe that I have made lot of progress and let go of them now. Or maybe they are still there I have been listening to quite a few paraliminals including Lisa Nicols 'You Deserve It' which I thoroughly enjoy. What else can I do to let go of these remaining feelings? |

Think of it this way... Look at how positive you were to get into the first round of the jobs and people said that you were great and they would move you through easily. You had nothing to lose so im sure you had absolutly no bad thoughts or feelings. Thats why the 1st round turned out so well. Mabye then you started getting small little negetive feelings of " mabye they won't hire me" or false inner things like that. If you dwelled on thoes they same ammount you put into your positive thoughts. It created thoes circumstances. Now what you said about your first job not calling you back, then saying the last 3 of them also never called back. If you dwelled on the negetive thoughts of not getting jobs, then all you were going to do was create more of not getting jobs into your life. Focus on nothing but getting jobs no matter what people in your life say. |

Yeah I think it's great you got 4 interviews that went so well. Well done. Can I ask a question? Did you really want these jobs? When you walked out of the interview did you really come out of them saying this is exactly what I want? In your gut did you get an overall feeling of what you wanted and what you thought the outcome would be? This is an interesting post for me to read, as I too have just gone for an interview (spoke about it in another thread). Although on the surface it seemed great, there was some underlying concern. I then thought about all the jobs that I have worked in and have made me happy and those jobs when I took them on, I had no doubt in my mind that they would suit me. They just felt right and they were for me. When I miss out on a job, I know longer put myself down and say what did I do wrong. I now say, well that job did not align with who I am and so I am glad I didn't get it. |
