how to use I/M for a new teacher??

I went to school yesterday to receive my son's classroom assignment. It is a new school for us beginning Jan of last year. But I don't know anything about the teachers of his grade. But I learn that one of the 3rd grade teachers is a man. My son, whose father died when he was 7 months old, truly needs a male influence. I would really like for my son to have a man as a teacher.

As you might imagine - they don't switch teachers easily. But there is another issue. He was assigned a classmate who is from his old school. They get along well one-on-one but not in a classroom setting. In their old school they were purposely assigned different classrooms. And this child's mother actually requested that the boys be in different rooms.

I am scratching my head as to why educators wouldn't think about putting a fatherless child with a male teacher????

I would love some well thought out - i.e. not straight from the hip - feedback on whether to use I/M and how for this particular situation. Thanks

First off I would suggest accepting/allowing it be okay if he doesn't get a male teacher.. 2ndly I would just intention and leave it no doubt just as always happens your synchronicity or intention will happen for your benefit..

If you want a man as a role model for your son, you could try enrolling him for some class or course outside school, where you can easily get to pick a teacher. Eg three times a week with a taekwondo coach; a swim instructor; a tennis coach ... Something like that.

as I read your post it revealed some wounds that had some interference - very helpful.

ALG - we do that but that is not quite the same and it is not enough.
