dream boards

I am creating my first dream board and I am looking for help with an idea I've had...

I thought it would be very inspiring to see examples of other people's dream boards and hear inspirational stories of changes and manifestations in the lives of people. I have set up a blog and I am on a mission to collect stories and photographs of dream boards from people all over the world to post on the site and hopefully we can find inspiration from each other's stories and spread the love and happiness!

If you have a dream board which you have either used in the past or are using at the moment (or both!) it would be wonderful to hear from you. The blog is at thedre4mer.wordpress.com. I have only just set it up and it would be so exciting to get number 1! I have set an ambitious target to collect 1 million examples but as I have written on the blog:

‘A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.’

I am fascinated by intention and manifestation and so I am very excited and interested to see what will happen!

I am setting up a dream "book", sort of like a board but on a sries of 8 1/2 x 11 pages.

That sounds like an amazing idea. If you would consider submitting something to the blog about it at some point that would be great as it would be good to have information about different formats people use. I haven't heard of that idea before but it's something I'd like to aspire to do as I'm so enjoying putting together my dream board and the inspiration you will get will be amazing!

I have a fold out poster board vision collection. I thought the cut outs looked nice on a black background so mine is black. My husband's are very specific, mine are specific, global and even inutitive. Meaning some of my cut outs are not actual things but stuff that reminds me of a certain state of mind, a specific memory that was great or pleasant and also contain things that are not particularly material. Like peace and health and global prosperity. I also have things that remind me of what I would like to achieve but aren't things, per se.

I have messages printed out on gratitude and joy. Quotes that inspire me. I glue sea-shells from great trips I have been on. Train tickets, etc.

As I achieve, I take off the old ones and make room for new ones. Some that no longer resonate with me also get removed. I keep it propped up in my family room so I can meditate on it.

One of the interesting things about this is that I find the vision board will reveal conflicts between my true self and my perceived desires. Even though I seek to be financially wealthy, I still seem to strive for a simple life and so when I look at some of the cars and jewelry and homes up there, I end up sensing a conflict, which makes me re-evaluate what I thought I wanted. So down comes a certain cut out and up goes another, more specific to my real goals.

Thanks so much, that is really interesting. I hadn't thought of using items from special memories I'd already had, like shells etc or train tickets, although I do collect these and they really resonate with me. That sounds like a good way to really connect with the board. I'm definitely going to start looking out for things I could put up there which would inspire me, in fact I can already think of a few. I suppose in a way it's quite limiting to think you can only use things from magazines which haven't happened to you yet.

Some of the things I've chosen are also quite abstract and I think symbolise a way of life and spirituality. I'm trying to choose things really intuitively and seem to have a good mixture of 'mood' pictures eg colours, flowers, and also some more solid things like houses/surroundings etc. There were a couple which I wasn't quite sure about though so maybe it's just that there is something in them which I like. It's quite nice to think that if I see another picture at some point which is more 'the one' I can replace it and make the board fluid really. Thanks
