one weird neurotic tendency i have always had is a strange obsessive compulsive propensity to do over-diligence in whatever it is i am doing. let me give a simple example: say by chance, i somehow come across a nice program, say an alarm clock program. well because of my obsessive tendencies, before settling in on using this program i have come across, i then proceed to waste the next hour googling and then downloading various alarm clock programs, trying to determine which is the best before beginning to implement that one. the funny thing is, i wouldn't have even been looking for an alarm clock in the first place. it's absolutely pathetic and it literally drives me crazy yet i could never stop myself. i would waste so much time doing things like this. i always had to explore everything before i settled in on anything, EVEN when the notion of something had come to by chance. one day i decided this was eating me alive. i had to do something. i decided that moment to adopt the self-conjured mindset that everything that comes to me, comes to me for a reason and i accept it. now, for instance, if i somehow come across a nice recipe website, instead of searching through dozens of recipe websites before settling in on one, i merely accept that for some reason, this particular one was in my destiny. this is extremely calming. i don't know if this is intention manifestation as i am not intending to manifest anything in the first place (rather am just accepting my destiny), but i thought i would share this considerable development. |

this kinda reminds me of the movie yes man Use it as a tool, but do not let it take over your life like the thing you are trying to fix in the first place. While picking the first thing you see, every time can be great, it can also get you in trouble if you are not careful. So just watch out. Make it a 30 day trial, but don't replace one extreme with another. Use the 30 day trial to get OUT of your old habit, but don't let the 30 day trial become your new habit. |
