Larry Winget vs The Secret I am a fan of Larry and his "pit-bull" approach to motivation and success. I recently watched The Secret and found that LOA also makes sense, to a degree. The emphasis on thinking, feeling, visualizing and letting the universe manifest your intentions is in direct opposition to Larry's advice to get negative, face your problems head-on, grit your teeth and do the necessary dirty work. He says you get what you think about only if you get off your butt and DO something about it. He believes The Secret presents deceptive half-truths. Steve P seems to alternate between the 2 philosophies. If you're familiar with Larry, please put in your 2 cents. |
I've read Larry Winget's stuff and I don't think he ever suggested we "get negative." Larry is all about results and actions. He wants you to think right, yes, that's what reading his books is all about. Thinking in a different way, which hopefully leads you to DO what you need and want to. Larry is one of my favorite authors for practical "Earthly" advice. He doesn't really get into spirituality. Larry, myself and many others believe this: Quote:
