Hello everyone I have been suffering from serious procrastination sense I can talk. In fact it runs in my family. Right now I am a lazy slob who has no willpower. I love to put things off and then just forget about it. I am doing absolutely nothing with my life right now, besides sitting on this computer. I was fortunate enough to talk to some hypnotherapists about my problem. They said that affirmations can help me a lot. Hypnosis, meditation, affirmations, trance are all the same. The end goal is to talk to the subconscious. One told me that if you repeat your affirmation 1,000 times a day it will become a reality. I have a problem though. I have created some affirmations, but am having a hard time creating an affirmation for my procrastination. I was wondering if anyone can help me out? Here are some I made Sleep "I am more comfortable sleeping on my back" Breathing "I choose to breathe through my nose" Food/Drinks "I only eat healthy foods" "Water is the only drink I enjoy drinking" Please help Thanks God bless |

Why not try an 'afformation' instead? Frame a positive question "how am I able to do things soon after I think of them"? (or 'why am I so dynamic?" or whatever reflects how you will be if you didn't procrastinate) Apparently this helps your sub-conscious mind scurry about trying to figure out how come you can do that. One of my clients has had great success with afformations and I'm thinking of giving them a try myself. |

I am a little confused? So i basically tell ask my self a question about the desired effect? Like if I wanted to get rid of my procrastination, I would say something like; "Why am I such a workaholic" (bad example i know thanks | |

Yes! How would you be if you didn't procrastinate, imagine yourself being it, and ask yourself the question "why am I so... " I'm trying "why do I have a body like Claudia Schiffer" Here's a link to Noah St John's site Noah St. John | Afformations Better than Affirmations - Law of Attraction Breakthrough (better link for the freebie) there's a free ebook on there somewhere. This might sound a bit odd but hear me out. I would start with loving yourself. "I love myself" "I approve of myself" then go into your other affirmations. When you have a healthy love and appreciation for yourself, you're much more likely to take action when it is time to do so. By the way, you don't create an affirmation for your procrastination, as that just makes your procrastination stronger "I am taking action when it is appropriate to do so" "I take daily inspired action to achieve my goals" "I am harmoniously reaching my goals" "I feel happy and victorious achieving my goals" "I release any resistance. I am willing to change" As you already know about the power of your subconscious mind, at the end of each day, write out a list of things you are going to do for the next day. After making your list, see yourself completing each item. This will program your subconscious to create the results you want. Here’s a little creed, taken from Napoleon Hill’s book, Law of Success, that should help you overcome your procrastination and hesitation in achieving your goals. “Having chosen a definite chief aim as my life-work I now understand it to be my duty to transform this purpose into reality. Therefore, I will form the habit of taking some definite action each day that will carry me one step nearer the attainment of my definite chief aim. I know that procrastination is a deadly enemy of all who would become leaders in any undertaking, and I will eliminate this habit from my make-up by: a. Doing some one definite thing each day, that ought to be done, without anyone telling me to do it. b. Looking around until I find at least one thing that I can do each day, that I have not been in the habit of doing, and that will be of value to others, without expectation of pay. c. Telling at least one person, each day, of the value of practicing this habit of doing something that ought to be done without being told to do it. I can see that the muscles of the body become strong in proportion to the extent to which they are used, therefore I understand that the habit of initiative also becomes fixed in proportion to the extent that it is practiced. I realize that the place to begin developing the habit of initiative is in the small, commonplace things connected with my daily work, therefore I will go at my work each day as if I were doing it solely for the purpose of developing this necessary habit of initiative. I understand that by practicing this habit of taking the initiative in connection with my daily work I will be not only developing that habit, but I will also be attracting the attention of those who will place greater value on my services as a result of this practice. Signed………………………………………………..” Hope that helps and I commend you for asking for help in achieving your goals! |

I did an audio program from Anthony Robbins. Works great! 30 day challenge - Start and finish Anthony Robbin's Personal Power program is where I wrote on it.
