You want to trigger excitement. Here is a concept. It is called clicking your amygdala. Like other things it takes practise. But you can get in the habit of using it - often. Neil Slade Amygdala Chart Quote:

Take a picture of someone you think has good eyes or good eye sight. Spend a minute or two each day looking at that picture and visualizing yourself having good eyes. Follow it up with any affirmatins that you want to use: "My eye sight is improving daily" "I allow my eye sight to improve" "I allow my eyes to be healed" And so on. Whenever any doubts come up, replace them with your affirmations. What is happening is that you are sending these new ideas to your subconscious which will go about manifesting them in your body. |

Anyway, I stumbled upon something called palming some time ago, invented by someone named Bates who wrote a book about it. I never gave it much thought back then, but a few days ago it entered my mind. I'll take it as a sign. It's simple, but effective. Palming Eye Exercise, See Without Glasses Bates Method - Techniques: Palming Natural Eyesight Improvement - Palming I've decided to share this here, so others who want to get rid of their glasses for good can give it a try. I know I will. Last edited by What3ver; 07-05-2009 at 03:25 PM. |

| Hmm! I was taught palming at a data entry job way back in '86, for eyestrain relief; everything old is new again. Maybe I should resume the practice...

Palming is good for relaxing your eyes and avoiding the stress that causes further vision deterioration. However it wont really enhance your eyesight as a standalone exercise. For that you also need eye strengthening exercises. I began eye exercises last July and they worked great for me. I could see the difference within the first week. Several weeks later I went to my eye doctor and she cut my prescription from -3.25 to -2.25 (I had myopia). Another few weeks and I was measured at -1.75 and completely lost my astigmatism. To me that is a pretty quick result! To speed up the process towards the end I also wore pinhole glasses 15 mins a day while watching TV. It takes commitment, but IMO eye exercises will work for most people with typical refractive errors of the lens. If you're that desperate to get away from glasses - eye exercises are worth the effort. Check out the website I made after doing eye exercises and the difference it made to my life: Improve Vision Naturally: Improve Your Vision with Daily Eye Exercises It's your call - and your commitment - I just want you to know that there is an alternative to surgery or contacts and you do have the power to fix this yourself. Good luck |

"However, the muscles of the eyes are not amenable to direct physical re-training since, according to Kinesiological research made in the U.S.A., stressed or fatigued muscles are made weaker by exercise. It is therefore not part of the Bates Method to 'strengthen' eye muscles by exercising them, despite recommendations given in popular books and articles on the subject. Relaxation will always precede exercise." I'm willing to believe palming is enough, thank you. Wax Frog, the book was written in 1920. | Of course, it's your choice! Palming is certainly better than nothing. The course I did is all about relaxing the eyes sufficiently so that when you do begin the strengthening exercises, they are no longer in a fatigued state. Palming will help reduce the stress which causes bad vision. But a side effect of corrective lenses is you forget how to focus naturally. Strengthening exercises restore that ability. I'm not sure that relaxation exercises alone can create 20/20 focus because you are not practicing the act of focusing in your routine - but then again I'm am not the expert.... I'm still willing to learn. |

I remember when I was first introduced to The Secret how they said that everyone asks for different things. How very true this is since I also wear glasses (since I was 13... and I am now 34), but it never occured to me to ask for 20/20 vision! Having said that I can surely understand you not wanting to wear them. Anyway, my response to all of this continues along the subject of TonyToneTone. Remember on The Secret the woman who healed herself of cancer simply by saying repeatedly throughout the day "Thank you for my healing." and then she spent her energy doing things that made her laugh and feel good. Three months I think she said. Also, Joel Osteen's mother healed herself of cancer doing the same thing, except she also used passages from the bible supporting this as well -- also in months. If you aren't religious you can just use "Thank you for my healing." it is effective. On a small scale, I had a wart (ewwww) on my finger and used this technique and it went away in two weeks. My Mom did the same thing and it worked for her as well. I would consider these to be small potatoes compared to healing eyesight, but it is worth a try and would eliminate the need for you to use visualization, which I also find hard to use. That block will make it impossible for you to succeed. Just wake up every day and say "Thank you for my healing." and thinking about only the healing of your eyesight. Everytime you see yourself in the mirror, or when you are watching tv, or using the computer, or reading a book, or driving your car, or waiting for the bus. Just keep saying it over and over, knowing that your healing has begun and continues daily until one day you realize the improvement. I wish you success! MyBestMe! | |

I believe that you also need to put in effort for whatever you're manifesting - the universe presents you with opportunities, but only you can choose to use them. You're far more likely to get to 20/20 vision along with regular use of eye exercises than putting in no effort whatsoever. LOA /is/ magic on a fundamental level, but it is not magic in the Hollywood sense. You're not going to get something for nothing. Its not how energy works. |
