Hi all, I'm currently taking a course, the details would be too long to explain and are not relevant. Anyway, my task for the next two weeks is to "bring the energy of power into my daily life by taking new, small, everyday life actions." I cannot to save my life figure out what kinds of actions I could take that are new to me, small, and would make me feel powerful. Any ideas someone? Thanks, love. |

Six minutes of abdominal work each day -- to pack power into your solar plexus. Repeat the words, "I am infinite power" twelve times to yourself each night as you get ready for sleep. (Building the habit of belief.) As you walk around, imagine the power of the universe lifting and supporting your body -- your torso, your arms and legs, your head high and light -- and notice how great you feel on purpose. Bathe the eyes of the person you are speaking with with a broadcast beam of light. Focus with laser-like intensity on what you want. Project the laser light of your desire out, and follow it. |

Hi, Rose, doesn't the course give you a few examples? : ) Well, obviously the best place to start is with your immediate environment. That would include your body, home, and workspace. Is everything ordered is these spaces? For instance; have you used everything in your home in the last year? Are there any areas that need to be straighten up and sorted out? Any cluttered areas? Example: Do you actually wear all the clothes you have? Or are there some clothes you haven't worn in years? And if so, why are you hanging on to them? Because anything in your environment that's not being actively used by use is just taking up space and getting in the way of the things you do use. And also, they are taking up space, that when cleared out, makes space for new things to come in your life. How's your body? How's your health? How's your car? An ordered and active environment is a reflection of an ordered and active mind. What are some of the big things you have in mind? My 2¢. : ) |

Rose and I are doing the same course. The energy that you bring into your life is very individual. So for example, the energy I'm working on bringing in is 'luxury' and another friend of mine is bringing in 'excitement' so Rose, how about 'saying no to your mother'! or Choose one thing from your goals list and commit to doing 30 mins a day towards that goal first thing, before you do anything else. or get up that mountain again! or work out how to monitize your site. (my luxurious act for the day is to dress up to go out to dinner. Instead of going in jeans and t-shirt, I'm wearing a slinky red dress and knee high boots!) let us know how you are getting on |

Hey Angela! Exactly today I suddenly thought about writing you a PM saying "Hey Angela, I'm doing a course that's great and I think you would like it. You probably don't need it, but even if you don't need it, I think doing it would be very interesting for you." And now you're asking about it! @ Holistic Star: thanks for the ideas! I learn one new habit a month so I have several things that I am committed to doing every day for x minutes. But not first thing in the morning, so that would be one possibility indeed. I'm also already working on monetizing my blog. I changed its concept, completely redesigned it, now I'm editing all categories and tags, which will take one week for sure. I'm also writing new pages and of course new posts, and learning about SEO, feedburner and affiliate programs. I even bought an eBook about all this. I even installed a "buy me a beer" plugin, that's to say how much I go out of my comfort zone. Congratulations on your red dress and high boots. @Dot: hey, thank you for the reply. It's difficult for the teacher to give examples, since the energy we bring into our daily life in those two weeks is different for each student. Plus, it's a very individual thing. What makes someone feel powerful might not make someone else feel powerful, and so on. The teacher did give a few examples but I cannot find any other things to do. I can think of big things, for example I will change my name, get my driver's license, and start a new hobby. But the actual task is to do small, mundane things, every day. That's the difficult part for me. I'm currently house-sitting. The house is full of the owner's clutter that I unfortunately cannot get rid of. If it were my house, I'd throw 98% of this stuff out! I cleaned up as much as I can, but there's nothing more I can do. As for my own things, they are neat, orderly and few. I'm not attached to objects and own as little as possible of them. My body is slightly overweight but otherwise fine. My health is excellent. I have no car. My bike is fine. There are four big things I have in mind: 1) Developing my blog. Its (new) purpose is to share personal development resources and help people solve problems. I'm actively working on it. I also have a second website idea, a website to help people quit smoking. All in my head already, just the money is missing to implement it. 2) Becoming a psychic. I'm currently taking classes and developing my psychic abilities. As soon as I can afford it I'll take bigger classes. I'm also learning energy healing. My goal is to work especially with little children, non-human animals and with people who are about to die. 3) Moving to Norway. I'm currently learning Norwegian. 4) Building big muscles. I don't know why you asked and how this relates to power, but here you have. Last edited by Rose of Cairo; 06-16-2009 at 07:23 PM. |
