Ways to get started. Vision boards: What are they? Big boards with pictures of things you want to manifest, look at it, close your eyes, visualize.. done! or something. So, this is something people say works great. I'm not sure I got it right. So just correct me. Secondly: If you can paint, PAINT what you want. I really want to know more about this. It's mentioned in "The secret" movie, and seems interesting. I'm a painter, and I'm very into this LoA thing. And I dont want to go through the trouble of making a vision board, I'm more motivated to paint stuff. But The whole concept is so easy, yet so difficult. I still have a hard time seeing the differences between a lot of things. For example: One method is to 1: visualize 2: forget 3: ???? 4: Profit. Okay? what? You say, visualize with an intention. How do I do that? How do I intend something in my imagination to happen? I know I'm thinking a lot, and believe me. I'd rather just forget about how it works as long as it works. But it's not working, or its taking too long :P And I usually get very doubtful like, have I done it enough? Did I do it right? will it work better if I do it this way, that way? Some say, visualize -at least- twice a day. At least, meaning; doing it more will make it more powerful? Some say, do it once. Then forget about it. If I forget about it, how will it work? I mean when you forget about it, you're not intending it anymore. Etc. I read a good comment saying, the result depends on how well it fits with your lifestyle. Personally, I'd say anything I could want or get fits to my lifestyle. I cant see how anything could be in the way. I'm just generally confused from thinking too much.. |

Sounds like you got a look at the "brochure" of LOA called The Secret. Good place to start. Would you start a career in accounting after just viewing the brochure for the college classes? Or would you start actually studying first....? Suggestions: Ask and it is Given, Abraham-Hicks The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles The Master Key System, Charles Haanel The Alchemist, Paul Coelho Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting, Lynn Grabhorn For starters. There are deeper books after that. IF you aren't manifesting successfully after reading those above. Vision boards are to help people who have trouble forming visualizations in their minds. Or they can be fun. I consider them fun, not absolutely necessary. Sometimes they are just reminders of things I think are cool. Begin with the end in mind, as Steven Covey says. Picture your goal completed, think backwards from there simply for step by step instructions but you should imagine your goal as if it's already come true. People love to say that the most important part of manifesting that isn't often mentioned is action. I totally disagree. It's state. Feelings. Emotions. Being able to conjure a deep power in your solar plexus at the drop of a hat. It's finding an unshakable joy. An unmatchable sense of happiness. That has to come before you can manifest. (Which is why you should read the Excuse Me book. It's a bit corny, the book, but explains the most important part of manifesting.) Words and images help YOU figure out what you want to manifest. The universe doesn't hear words. Feelings and emotions are the language the universe understands. I know The Secret claims you can pick and choose how long it takes to manifest but that is only if you are already at Pseudo-God power-up level. So if you are serious, you cannot second-guess the length of time your manifestations take. That means you doubt which means you stopped believing. It also means you are "attached to the outcome" which means you doubt and need. If you need, you fail. You may never get your desire. You will be grateful for that and move on. In fact, gratitude cannot be underestimated. Forgiveness is one of the most important aspects so if you are wasting your energy and "state" holding grudges, lose them. I find that more visualizations per day work better for me, but very rapid. Like 2-5 minutes each. Learning to manifest with LOA--and you'll have to accept this part--may eventually teach you how frivolous many of your now-deepest desires are. Money, fame, wealth, women, cars, homes, etc. That there is a much bigger story. If all this bugs you, you are better off just "massive action-ing." The alternative path to success. Jennifer |

I did try the vision boards though, and I am now trying my hand on mind movies. You know where you make a movie about the things that you would like to manifest. Well in a nutshell, it's a movie vision boad. I include positive affirmations on it, and even include some of my own pictures just so I could make it more personalized and reinforce the belief that whatever stuff that is in the movie is truely what I have. One of the best things you can do, is truely believe that whatever is on that vision board is really yours now. If somehow there are doubts in your mind, what you can do is affirm that you are now in the process of getting it. e.g "I'm in the process of recieving my BMW" I learned that "I'm in the process of" technique from the law of attraction book. Though ofcourse nothing beats 100 percent iron clad faith that you have whatever you want in the now. One thing I'm going to try next is with play money and put a pile in my wallet. Might work |

Thank you Jennifer. It was helpful. (how could any of this bug me?) Thanks Digitise8, I hope it works out great ;D It is humanly impossible to never have a bad day, to never doubt or feel negative in some way. What I fear is that when I have a day like such, I ruin all the positive emotions I've set out and all my "intentions" with a swarm of negativity. I have aprox. 1 bad day per week. 1day per week when nothing works, when i feel depressed and confused and I have absolutely no idea why which leads to frustration and so it goes the entire day. Quote:
I have only 2 real deep desires and thats freedom and happiness. My definition of happiness requires 2people, Love, respect etc. I am happy right now, but its my belief that happiness is only real when shared. (Christopher Mccandless last words) Something I've believed for a long time and havent been able to express. My definition of freedom is to be unaffected by money. When I sit down to.. "Visualize" whatever you wanna call it. I see myself living a happy life with my family, my family is anyone who deserves the title, my partner, the way she is/will be (I have none), and to have absolutely no issues what so ever regarding money. If this is to be rich or to be living off the grid in some field, I dont know. I don't focus on that, I merely focus on never having to worry about this source of evil ever again. (I feel so corny..)
