Default Do Thoughts Create Reality?

If our thoughts create reality how come so many people create what they don't want? If our thoughts do not create reality, who is creating reality? Are we creating reality just by putting our attention on it?

Because they think negatively, of course.

Attention energises it. Intention shapes that energy.

I would say thoughts partially create reality. Also, from where I stand, I believe reality is partially subjective. I think the higher your consciousness level is, or the less you are attached to the ego, and therefore the more in tune you are with the source energy, the more control you have over reality.

Reality is.

We think, we sense.
But we have not sufficiently scientifically explained reality to understand how, or why, or though what mechanisms we are connected.
We appear to be connected to everything and adapt behaviour accordingly.

Some of us are connected to invisible things (schizophrenia) and some of them think they can control reality by their thoughts (crazy, huh), but most of us experience the same reality - whatever it is comprised of.

I'd like to know what is behind the curtain.

Best Wishes and thanks for asking !
Eric

You are mistaken. You can have a large group of people living in a highly similar physical environment, subject to the same "objectively" measurable parameters, and yet each of them will experience a different reality.

To give you a simple example, in my country we have a conscript system. Each year, all the 18-year-old young men go into the military. Now if you visit boot camp, you'll notice that in one sense, the "reality" they experience is the same - they eat the same food; do the same training; wear the same clothes; sleep the same number of hours; learn the same military skills; are subject to the same punishments; earn the same pay; live life each day according to the same highly regimented timetable; are permitted to have only certain kinds of personal items; bathe naked together; and are effectively cut off from the outside world, because telephone calls are permitted on a very limited basis and letters are not allowed.

Yet the reality experienced by each of them differs sharply. For some, reality is extremely harsh and painful, so much so that they are driven to suicidal behaviour or self-destructive behaviour.

For others, reality is tough but also enjoyable; it's fun to be one of the boys, fool around a bit and have so many friends everyday. Firing rifles and throwing grenades are pretty exciting; and on the weekends, everyone can go out and have a crazy time over some drinks.

For others, the whole military experience is a personal challenge to be welcomed - plenty of opportunities for personal growth; to test your mental and physical endurance; learn to be a leader; become a real man, and perhaps, even an officer.

You walk into the barracks; you see 30 recruits; they all look the same, they wear the same uniform; their heads are equally shorn; everything looks the same - but actually, the individual realities that each of them is experiencing can differ very, very sharply.

If you could talk to each of them, one guy might describe his reality as follows: "I can't take it any more, I'm going to kill myself."

Another guy might describe his reality as follows: "This is the best time of my life, and I can't wait for next week, when we get to fire the grenade launcher!"

A third guy might describe his reality as follows: "It's tough but this is my duty, it's my country, and I'm proud to be here."

A fourth guy might describe his reality as follows: "It's a ************ing shithole, but I can take care of myself. No big deal."

These differences arise, most fundamentally, out of their own thoughts. Each of their realities is most definitely "real" to them.

I believe our points are the same - there is a difference between reality and one's experience of reality.
But I could be mistaken (if you insist).

Best Wishes,
Eric
