Manifest something to do for Mem. Day wkend

I hate the 3 day holidays because my son and I rarely have anything to do. This year I want to manifest an invitation to a lake or pool or cookout with some other kids/families. That's what I would like for both of us.

There's no one stopping you from doing whatever you would like to do with your son.... What is it you see yourself enjoying? What is your intention for your son?

Be careful of language and beliefs when you set your intention with your higher self. You have already said with feeling, "I hate the 3 day holidays". Your higher self will always respond to give you whatever contains more emotion -- in this case, what you hate. When you say instead, "I love going to places where we can swim/wade/picnic" with equal feeling, your higher self will go to work to give you that.

You have said, "I want." You may have heard that wanting will always leave you wanting. Saying, "I intend" or "I love" or "My son and I are so happy at ....." will bring you what you love and what makes you happy instead of more wanting.

Do you know anyone with access to a lake or pool? You might be inspired to take action (ie, "phone them") and if you are, don't ignore it, even if you don't feel you know them very well or believe that they don't like you very much. (These are only the voices of the ego.) If your inspiration nudges you, and you ignore it through fear or disbelief, it will nudge you more quietly next time.

Also, if you hear, "phone Smith" and you decide that it would be better to phone Jones, you are making a decision based on ego and ruling against your intuition. Intuition always speaks in short, clear, statements. It may repeat itself, but it does not argue or try to coerce you. Your ego has history and future and "what ifs" and all sorts of arguments.

When you are manifesting, always make choices based in intuition, not on ego.

I will incorporate your points about listening to the universe as opposed to the ego as well. Thank you for your helpful post. I am definitely manifesting help and that is a great sign and a great encouragement.

@ Wordkeeper. I'm just curious what you and your son did for the Memorial Day Weekend? Were you able to manifest an invite somewhere cool?

Not really Fitx3. But I have been receiving other invitations since then. There is definitely a shift and I found that the comments that I received here on this post were more significant manifestations that what I was posting about.

Strem2's comment redirected me in an important way. That was worth more than any invitation. Glad you asked.
