Exclamation Taking Some Vows

I have officially begun working toward my goals for 2007. And you know, it's got me thinking a lot about what I've been reading here on this board, as well as other sites that talk about the Law of Attraction. There are a lot of people who doubt, who are skeptics. Your doubt is a fallacy that often will impede your results. In thinking about the LoA and writing about it for the past few days, I've been coming up with a lot of ideas, and have been having lots of strange experiences as I try to take notice to how things follow my thoughts.

I've now become a part of the Million Dollar Experiment, and I have a goal to earn $100,000 for the year. I have a blog that's main focus has been personal development, as I've been a student of PD concepts for the past 4 years. While I do intend to monetize the blog, I am not relying on it - I have other ideas that are going into motion. And I think that's another key thing for everyone to remember - do not just intend to earn money and then go after one thing to achieve it. Especially a blog - which is going to take time to build a following with, as well as any other creative medium. Don't throw all your eggs in one basket! Set out to achieve LOTS of things, and start experimenting all the different ways you can FIND to make money if making money is your goal!

But my situation isn't quite that simple. I have been intending to move in with my girlfriend, and after that has manifested - my dad is cutting my college support until I'm willing to live at the house. Along with the college tuition, he is also taking away my car, my monthly budget, and a marginal degree of spending money. Everyone tells me I'm crazy - "what are you doing?! I would have LOVED to have had even a chance to have all that paid for!" Maybe I AM crazy, if you are thinking that, but at least I'm pursuing what makes me happy - what I love to do! And fortunately, if all fails and I do not build my income the way I intend, then I am welcome to move back home and try things again the way I was before. It is simply a matter of my parents not supporting the decision (I'm 18).

This is a chance for me to work full time on my ideas, to work full time pursuing a single intention. And during all of this time, I will be given the opportunity to discover the possibilities that allow me to get there! Here are a few articles I've been writing the past few days at my blog, which I hope you guys will at least give a glance - a lot of it is really helping me out personally:

Dirty Mechanism » Public Experiment #1 - Using the Law of Attraction :: Part 1
This article is simply describing my taking part in the million dollar experiment publicly - much of the same of what I've already described here.

Dirty Mechanism » Two Kinds of Reality and the Law of Attraction
I compare the subjective and objective models of reality. While Steve and other people are tending to say that LoA would likely lead toward a subjective model - I say it can work under both! Whatever the truth is - LoA still always works.

Dirty Mechanism » Law of Attraction Refocusing Exercise - Your Life Story
This is a refocusing exercise that I used, and let me tell you - if you really get into this like I did, it feels WONDERFUL, and you gain a whole new perspective on your past that you never considered before.

Well, I guess this is it(excited!!!) - I'm going to continue to publicly document on my site, and if you'd like - I can keep everyone posted here - on how my progress is coming along.

Thanks for reading, and I hope to hear your thoughts on this.

Thumbs up Go for it!

I think you should do what makes you happy, no matter how old you are. I started my first business at 24 and it failed. But now at 26, I'm doing it again and it's working out. I'm happy and things couldn't be better. Some people tell me I'm too young to do all the stuff that I do, but I don't listen to them. Sometimes I make mistakes, but I don't stop. I keep going

If you help enough people get what they want and need, and you'll have that $100,000. Nothing beats helping people get what they want AND making a profit. Sometimes it will be hard, but stay true to yourself and your purpose.

I've got to say this one more time, if you help enough people get what they want and need, you can make as much money as you want.

Cheers and good luck!

Cool One more thing

IF you are going to go into business for yourself, just make sure you have some type of income to rely on. If you have rent and bills to pay, you have to take care of those things. It makes no sense to go into business for yourself, if you can't feed yourself! Work part-time if you have to, but stay focused on your goal.
