When talking about the Law of Attraction, A Happy Pocketfull of Money warns us that: “When you most feel like holding on to something, it is usually the best time to let it go.” Which is more valuable, a solid, carefully thought out intention, or achieving the "vibration" of abundance? The books I've been reading all agree that it is necessary to have a clear intention, to visualize yourself in the picture, and so forth, but experience has shown me that being in the "vibration" of abundance, and/or having my Five closest people be in the vibration of abundance is more productive. What do you think? |

Shouldn't we be talking about raising our vibrations? And, how to keep them high? Gerald O'Donnell talks about raising vibrations in his training and does guided meditations to keep you in the right vibration. But, most others only talk about visualizing. I went down by Long Island Sound this morning (salt water) and sat for a while looking at the mansions on the shore. I breathed the air they breathe and took in their gardens and the sounds of the birds and the waves splashing against the rocks.

... Now, do you think it's important to keep to one picture? Many people say that, but others say that you should picture the life style, with all the trappings of a $____ life style. You see, if it's mostly vibrations, then any picture that raises vibrations is great. If it's a specific manifestation that we need to focus on, then a specific picture is best. There are those who give the example of the travel agent who is confused when the traveller changes from Rome to Paris to Istanbul.

I believe from my experiences over many years of trial and error with manifesting things that you need to do both, that is visualize and use other methods of communicating your desire to your subconscious mind, PLUS you also need to achieve a vibrational match with the object of your desire. By planting your desire deeply in your subconscious mind, it will automatically start being attracted to you - that is what the subconscious mind was designed for, it is the 'doing' part of the brain. However, if you have some conflicting beliefs or negative thought patterns (which will lower your vibration and also block the manifestation of your desire), then you need to clear these thoughts from your subconscious mind. If you continually practice meditation or relaxation, use processes like EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), etc then you will be able to clear out blockages and raise your vibration. On the other hand, if you have no resistance, conflicting beliefs or thought patterns to manifesting abundance, then you will manifest what you want simply by properly communicating and deeply planting your desire in your sub conscious mind. Once the instruction has been given to the subconscious it will go about attracting the object to you, with no resistance and by being in a state of 'allowing' then you will manifest what you desire. If you can cultivate a mindset of expectation that you will attract into your life everything that you desire and that the Universe will support you in your every effort then this will greatly enhance your results. |

Hi TerryHill695, Sounds good, but if you don't mind some additional clarification. Do you visualize one intention at a time, and continue until it's in your hand (like Eric Amidi recommends) or do you visualize the life style with all the trappings (as Jack Cannfield recommends)? Eric says you shouldn't move on or make any changes until its manifest. By my way of thinking, this puts you more at risk for digging up your seed before it's done. Jack suggests you add to your dream and embellish with all the perks and pleasures. What's your process? |

A way of thinking on this topic that has been helping me to attract abundance recently is "be to have, don't do to get." In essence, you have to become abundance - get into the being state of feeling abundant, knowing you are abundant, appreciating the abundant resources all around you and within you and on their way to you, etc. instead of thinking and feeling like you have to "do" (whether through actions, thoughts, visualizations, whatever) in order to get abundance or whatever the specific stuff you want. It's kind of a subtle distinction or shift that I make in the way I feel and think but just repeating that saying "be to have instead of do to get" is helping me relax and become more abundant instead of stress out about it and block myself |

That's why I was asking about visualization. And, I like your distinction of "being" abundant rather than setting up any routines to "get" or "insure" that the stuff you intend comes your way. The routines have never really done if for me. Yet, when I do my meditations each day and give thanks for everything I can think of as I leave my home every day, if a thought comes into my mind, it is manifested that day or in a few days. I will say though, that I start early in the morning, and have a long day. Sometimes I get run down, and I have to remember to add into my day some things that allow me to feel luxuriantly abundant, rather than tired abundant. Going to water does that for me....

Yeah, committing to doing a routine is less effective and enjoyable for me too. I prefer taking inspired action. Of course if committing to doing some sort of routine feels inspirational than that's different but the key for me really is being in tune with my feelings and what kind of energy I am projecting. I really love being around water too |

... as in your "Awareness Blooms". - You even picked a favorite of Gerald O'Donnell. He swears by flowers as a naturally high vibrating organism that you can entrain to when you are seeking to raise your own vibrations. |

Hi strem2, I loved your question and I've enjoyed reading all the replies. Thought I'd add my little two cents. When it comes to getting into harmony with anything we want and in your case abundance, I don't think the method we use matter so far as what we are doing is getting us the feeling we want. If being in the vibration of abundance works for you then I'd say go for that. There is really no right way. Just the right way for you. |

Thanks Jokai, I've enjoyed reading the replies too! And, your idea of there being no right way for everyone is probably very wise. I certainly enjoy being harmoniously happy, and it seems to be working for me. Thanks to your all. |
