Goodbye For Now, Folks
I'll be away from these forums for some time, maybe a month, maybe two or more. For those of you who know where my personal blog are and who do visit, well, I'll be blocking off your access too, for some time anyway.
I'm off to do some new adventures & experiments with my own consciousness. And for that period of time, I want to eliminate as many distractions as possible. (Sorry if this sounds rude, I do think that these forums are somewhat a distraction) .
As for the blog access, the reason why I'm blocking off your access is that I expect that I might be experimenting with some really big or really bizarre intentions. And while my experiments are in progress, I don't want to take the chance that anybody will drop in to leave any doubt-filled or skeptical comments on the blog that might affect me.
(To tell you the truth, even if no one did that, my awareness that someone might be reading my posts while I do those experiments is going to make me self-conscious. That won't augur well for my experiments. So that's also why I'm blocking access).
See you again, sometime in the future.

I will be rooting for you! Although I am so curious to hear what you are experimenting with. Sorry there is no filter for us who are not skeptical! But I will leave you to it!

Last night, I was seriously considering doing a 30-day trial of no forums and here you are posting this topic. Funny! I still am considering. At the end of 30 days I would make a decision to continue with no forums or come back, depending on how the results go.
I post on a few forums, one where I have over 15,000 posts (over five years), and although I've had fun and learned many things over the years I start to wonder if those few hours every week could be better spent for my personal growth and other opportunities. A part of me feels bad with the idea of leaving though, as I care about many people (including from this site) and I like to keep up with what's going on in their life. I suppose I could stop in for a few minutes on the weekends, though that's a little hard for me because I like to follow all the conversations.
Anyway, best wishes to you Acting Like Godot. I hope you intend to share your results with us!

You are one of the only consistently strong and positive human beings on these forums. We will miss you. Yet, I know that there are times when you must take time to renew and strengthen, or you wouldn't be able to be who you are.

Hi folks, just checked in to read your messages. Thank you everybody for the nice words, and I send all of you positive thoughts too.
I have just worked out my methodology. It will go like this:
(1) The experiment runs for 60 days starting tomorrow. Every day for 60 days I will set aside some specific time to meditate, visualise or think about at least one intention.
(2) I am not aiming for all the intentions to be fulfilled within 60 days. I am only aiming to do regular mind sessions every day for 60 days, on a pre-written list of intentions. The intentions may or may not become fulfilled within the 60-day period itself.
(3) To ensure that I learn new ways to use my mind, I am not just going to use my usual LOA methods. Instead each mind session will be based on an exercise / technique / method taken from a specific passage from one of the following books:
(i) Personal Power Through Awareness, Sanaya Roman
(ii) Creative Visualisation, Shakti Gawain
(iii) Spiritual Growth, Sanaya Roman
By using this approach, I'll ensure that I try out a variety of different methods, including many that I've read about, but not really tried before. I expect I'll learn quite a number of new things.
(4) For the next 60 days, I'll be working off a list of 10 intentions. Some will be somewhat offbeat; some are ordinary-sounding; for the ordinary ones, the challenge will be the magnitude of the change that I can effect. I think 10 is a suitable number, it's big enough for variety, but not so big that I'll get distracted.
I'm still working out the list, it should be done by tomorrow. Tomorrow will be Day 1 of my 60-day exercise. See you in 61 days or so ....

Greetings ... It is good to be here. I am most appreciative of your role in the co-creation of this post.
My reality is moving quickly, quickly. Assorted events are lining themselves up, to manifest themselves into my reality. Among other things, I will be completing my purchase of this house today.
But I am not here so much to tell you about the events in my personal life, but to share with you some personal insights that I have recently gained into the nature of mind & reality. None of it will be exactly new, and some of it might not be relevant for everyone (because we all have different minds) but I hope some of you get some value out of it.
Insight 1 - Caring For Yourself
Successful IM means that you need to care for yourself. It's not just about constantly visualising and thinking about your goals. You need to care for your own state of consciousness.
Many of you, especially those who meditate, will have developed a degree of self-awareness. You know it, when your mind is having a good day. You know it, when your mind is having a bad day.
A good day is when your mind is calm, clear, steady, focused, and able to concentrate. A bad day is when your mind is distracted, anxious, unsteady, worrying or irritated about many small things, and constantly running off in multiple directions.
To achieve consistently successful results in your IM, you need to consistently ensure that you have many more good days than bad days.
How you do that - depends on your personal likes, dislikes and idiosyncrasies. For me, meditation, exercise and relaxing music do the trick. And so does tidying up my environment (home, or office).
Identify a list of tools that work for you, in maintaining a healthy state of consciousness. Plan your routine & environment, such that these tools are accessible and convenient for your use.
Eg if music does the trick for you, make sure you have the necessary sound system & music in your bedroom, car, office etc wherever you need it. If green plants or an aquarium of lively, colourful fish does the trick, then make sure you have that.
If you do constantly seek to visualise & manifest your goals but you DON'T look after your consciousness, then you're like an athlete who's always joining competitions, pushing his body hard during the race, and hoping to win ... but who doesn't ensure that his body has enough rest, gets the best nutrition, has proper treatment for its injuries etc.
I shall return ..... Happy manifesting

Apart from the new house, the next personal milestone that's lining up to manifest in my reality is the publication & official launch of my book next month.
As you can see from this post which I wrote last month, I had some negative doubts about whether the book would sell well (as poetry is never that popular with the masses).
However, since then, I've been working my magic and since then, certain events have occurred such that I've been able to reach out a very large number of people who normally don't read poetry at all .... And I've managed to reach out in a way that's gotten them quite interested.
So I keep getting all these emails in my mailbox everyday asking: "What's the title? Where's the launch? Where can I buy the book? I'm really looking forward to it ..." etc etc.
Mind you, these are people who DON'T normally read poetry at all.

Also, I have been running a regular series of mind sessions relating to my work. I call it my "Flow at Work" intention.
The idea is that I want my work at the office to be fun, easy and interesting. I want things to happen at the right pace for me; for the universe to coordinate all the details neatly; such that the right people, events, resources and opportunities all just pop up at the right time.
I think that the results of this intention have been quite fascinating, and the past week and a half at the office have proceeded just so amazingly smoothly. But I'll spare you the details on this one, they would take too long to describe.
